I think Dame will play. He said in his post game that both knees are a little bruised but it's nothing he hasn't dealt with before. I think it will be very appealing for him to be on the floor again with Nurk, get to run their pick and roll and have a backup big that Stotts will play. I hope that the medical staff always has the final say in these things and if for Dame's health, both short and long term, it's better to rest, I hope he does.

This is a winnable game and that's another reason I want Dame to play because you always try to get wins where you can. With our back court being thinned out right now, sitting Dame could actually impeded our ability to win.

We have a training staff we pay to make decisions about a players health. I've never heard anything that would suggest management or the coaches pressure the staff to say a player should be allowed to play even when it's against their best interest. If the medical staff does not think it's an issue for Dame to be playing and Dame doesn't have an issue playing, then I don't see the big deal.

I think I've been reading on here for years that Dame is going to get seriously hurt because of all the minutes we play him, yet that hasn't happened. On the flip side, we see guys on other teams who load manage, and still end up being out for a while with an injury.

Yusuf Nurkic!
boom.. boom.. boom boom boom!!

Well I hope big Nurk is better condition then was at start of the season because that wasn't a good look for the big guy.

That will not happen. Somewhere between 15-20 mins this game. If he plays more he will stink up the court.
5-10 games before you see anything like Nurk being in shape. Look to April 10th vs the Pistons. 2 full weeks of workouts on the court in game time.

Next target to get a player back?
May 7th vs Lakers
If the Blazers can get Zach Collins back on the 7th of May he will have 6 games to get into some kind of shape to contribute.
If that happened it would be really really good for this team.

I know has get game shape but beginning the year he wasn't beginning preseason shape I want see at least that much. Because out for a big your just waiting for the next injury. Yes they work him in slow and build from there.

That would be nice I don't what his real time line is I heard there hoping for the playoffs but he also he will rush anything this time around and can't blame him.

That timeline is pure fantasy on my part. I agree they should not rush him at any point.

Rest Dame, the magic are only suiting up eight players and not one of them is a threat to take over a game. Even Elleby can hang with em.

This is the first time I looked at the matchup of starting fives in a game thread and thought "We are much better at every position".
