I honestly don't know the answer here but i heard today the Beavers were picked to be last in the Pac 12 this season when it started. Is that true.
Quack...Im happy when the beavs do well and always acknowledge when they beat the duck at anything. I still do root for their baseball team too. I have two kids that went to Oregon and we all are strong supporters. Hard to think of a more improbable run than the Beavers having to win 6 straight games, all of which were against tourney teams. It's not like they are some mid major team that no one really knew how good they were, they were actually pretty bad at points this season. What an incredible ride!
I think Tinkle might be the reason for a bunch of this? I did some looking at his history. It's pretty cool. Played mostly in Europe when he played. His runs at Montanan were pretty impressive as well. He had an abysmal 1-17 season at OSU but since then they have continued to grow? He will get a recruiting bump from this i would expect. That is another interesting thing. Now we have two college teams in Oregon that are reasonable choices to pick from. The Kids are watching make no mistake. My nephew is 15 and lives with a basketball in his hands. They are watching for sure.
I know this is green font but Tinkle runs a 2-3 zone on defense (like a lot of college coaches do) that wouldn't translate to the NBA (no illegal defense in college).
