$20-25m would not have been my guess. $23-25m/yr is around $100m 4 yr deal...is he really $15-25m better than Joe Harris? Harris signed a 4 yr/$75m over the summer.
Stupid Nickname: "Powell Park" Powell wears #24. 24th and Powell is Powell Park (where I played little league back in the 70s).
Love CJ..but my preference is to keep Powell and hope CJ keeps putting up all-star type numbers so we can get max value for him
Hope CJ plays like he did before his injury - all-nba level - package him for Sabonis. Lock up Powell long-term. Boom.
I wonder how much of a factor the agents played in this trade. If I am Neil I would stay away from Rich Paul's client list as much as possible.
We know his name for a reason. Not saying he isn't a good agent for his clients, just that as a fan of a small-market team, I don't think he is good for us. https://clutchpoints.com/lakers-new...y-davis-changed-after-hiring-agent-rich-paul/
What about every other agent that has tried to get their clients to bigger markets? It's funny that Paul is the only one consistently called out for it.
Go read the thread from 2 years ago. I listed several agents over the last 50 years that have been a pain in the ass for small market teams to deal with. I think I know what you are alluding to.... and you are wrong.
Not worth it. I just forget that people make a living out of going around and stealing other people's content. Pretty sure that's how buzzfeed even exists at this point.
