    That's wont work. Teams will sink most of their money into the stars and you'll still have ring chasers who play for the minimum.

    In the end it will still be smaller market teams like Portland who suffer.

    Absolutely correct.

    I think one of the rules that really hurts small markets is the buy-out rule. If a bought out player could only sign with a team that payed half of their salary instead of vet. min., then big market teams and super teams couldn't just grab them for basically nothing.

    I disagree. If a hard cap was bad for small markets, the Green Bay Packers wouldn't be in the NFL

    You can't compare the NFL to the NBA. It's not even remotely the same thing. You could have the best QB ever but if you don't have a line or receivers he will be useless. Meanwhile you could put LeBron on any team and they'll be a playoff team. Doesn't matter how crappy they are. Hell, a 40+ year old MJ almost made the Wizards relevant.

    Green Bay has an insane scouting/drafting/player development system. Last I saw, something like 94% of their players were drafted by them.

    Developing draft capitol is the sure way to beat the market odds in any sport.

    Both NFL & NHL have hard caps. I think either have a hard cap in NBA or like baseball no cap.

    Clippers lose to Magic at home. I want us to play Clips in playoffs. Ideally, I’d like the 2 seed, but if we are playing either Lakers, Clippers, or Nuggets, I want the Clippers. They’re mentally weak. They’re like the opposite of us.
