I honestly don’t think he get lost. He just busy trying to make sure the guards aren’t getting beaten
Definitely. I think he should also use the pick and roll more often to help him with that. If he can do that oh boy look out
But he and Coach Stotts are looking at his defensive contributions right now. That’s where the focus is at the moment. “I think defensively, I’m starting to understand how to be aggressive and also to be a little bit more smart and understand the schemes better,” Little said. While Coach Stotts added, “he still has a lot of room to grow from an experience standpoint, particularly at the defensive end, where I think he has good ability, but he needs some experience in certain situations. But like a lot of our guys that we’ve had here, he’s worked hard and he’s ready to make the next step.” https://www.nbcsports.com/northwest...little-wants-be-best-two-way-player-he-can-be Hopefully the minutes keep rising.
I still don’t trust that Nas will get minutes with everyone healthy. Ideally Olshey would trade Hood to open up playing time, but it’s Olshey so I’m not holding my breath.
What I have noticed these last couple games is Nas is still not sure on Defense on when to switch and when to fight over screens. Lots of times he seems to be going with the wrong guy. Hopefully as he plays more he will figure this out.
Nas isn’t a vet, so when that happens Stotts almost always benches him shortly after. He’ll learn more by sitting on the bench and watching defensive savants like Melo and Hood play instead.
Is Nas snake bite? or injury prone? Hard to figure out what the Blazers have in him if he is out ever other month.
Dude that’s what I said. He doesn’t even do much out there to get hurt all the time like this. what’s up with this dude ?
In an interesting move today, Stotts played Little at the 2 giving us more length and athleticism. His shooting is what is allowing him play there too. Stotts said to expect more of this in the future. To me I kinda liked it. It allow Little to use his superior length and athleticism against smaller players. If he can keep up his shooting around 38% from 3 point land, then that would be awesome. What y’all thoughts? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nb...rd-nassir-little-won-new-position-blazers?amp
I struggle to read through these threads, given the lack of cohesiveness. I mean, most of it is a struggle due to lack of common sense, but we sometimes take these threads to new levels.
Little is the kind of shooting guard that should've always been paired with Dame. We haven't had a properly matched shooting guard for Dame since Wes Matthews ruptured his Achilles. It's crazy that we've gone that long when there's this crystal-clear example in Golden State of how important it is to have a complementary back court pairing.
