Plenty of your replies to me lack basketball content. Seems to be trending in that direction more and more unfortunately. I'm open to decenting opinions to what I have to say, I would much prefer that to a non-basketball post; or no reply at all, either works.
It is absolutely a joke for him to call out anyone. But I think it is part of his personality. He is a bit quirky. Next year he needs to work his ass off in the offseason and get bigger stronger and more skilled. He has not progressed for a while. Granted he has had some bad luck, but next season is his make or break season. He needs to play smarter and talk smarter.
I agree! I sure hope we get a consistently good Nurk for a couple seasons before it's all said and done; he really makes a difference when he's healthy, in shape, and active on both ends of the floor.
Well if he continues to talk like this even some of things are true I won't be surprised if he gets traded this off season.
I agree that some of it is system, but come on Bones, you can't blame the system for CJ or Dame jacking a shot on a 3 on 1 fast break. That's not system. That's individual choice. CJ dribbling around for 10 minutes and not passing is, in my opinion, personal choice. Dame at least tries to get his teammates involved.
No offense, but you're probably the last person who should be speaking to others about self-righteousness. Again, I have no problem with your takes even if sometimes I think they are ill-informed. I'd love to hear why you think Nurk is one of the better players on this roster to be talking about the teams shortcomings in terms of selfishness and leadership.
Im laughing at you because you're essentially saying Nurkic dorsnt know what he's talking about, which is absolutely comical and shouldnt need an explanation as to why.
1) I didn't say he didn't know what he was talking about. I said he's not best position to be making those public statements given his history. Everything he said may be true (I don't know), but that doesn't mean he's the proper messenger. Just like CJ shouldn't be getting on the team for defense or Shaq shouldn't bust peoples chops for missing FTs. 2) Other people liked and commented agreeing with my assessment and nobody responded saying they disagreed with any statement I made in that post, so at the moment, your stance appears to be the outlier. Again, I'm open to anyone disagreeing with any of the statements I made in my original post and I would love to hear why you think Nurk has been a consistent emotional and physically stable leader to this team or why you think he's best positioned to pubically calling out his teammates and staff.
This is what happens when an Owner passes away and there is no accountability. It’s exwctly happening to Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson.
This is an interesting take I hadn't thought of (not a big NFL/seahawks fan). Do you know if the Seahawks are likely to be sold soon? Think they'll be sold prior to the Blazers?
It’s interesting, when someone takes over control of someone else’s dream and they don’t share in that dream, it will slowly die off. When my grandfather passed away, my father and uncle ran the family business into the ground. It took years, decades even, but they slowly killed it because it was not their passion and they didn’t care if it grew. They just rode it until it was no longer successful because they didn’t give a shit. It wasn’t their dream.
nurk is absolutely the right guy to speak about these issues, hes one of the competent defenders on this team and one who really gives effort on that end, so he certainly knows what hes talking about and hes the guy who wants to see the ball and player movement on offense, a guy who is a willing passer, so hes competent talking about the offense too you wont see and hear dame and cj mccollum talk like this about offense and thats cause this iso offense suits them and theyre taking a lot of shots, so theyre happy
Why don't we focus on what Nurk said instead of focusing on if he is the right guy to do that. Btw i think he is, but that's another story. What he said i think has been mentioned in this forum multiple times. Those are known issues that we avoid to address or we don't know how to do that. In any case they are there and probably they will remain there. And I much prefer someone stating facts and giving his side of view with proper explanation than the BS we hear from Dame, Sotts all the time that we just need to be more competitive take pride etc. Enough of that. Apparently Lillard has no clue on how to change that since he is the leader of the team and it's still same old shit. I cannot imagine LeBron would know how to solve something and wouldn't force it on the coach. Lillard and Stotts are on the same page and totally helpless to figure it out. Maybe hear someone else for a change. Btw can I say Dame, Stotts are not the right guys to ever speak about D again since they are clueless on that end?
