It’s happening. #3 Clippers vs #6 Blazers. Clips 3-0 in regular season. Wayoff P on the bad guys. Healthy Blazers wave goodbye to Clips and P in 5. Dame & Co wait for inexperienced Suns in 2nd round. Laker rematch in WCF.

    go blazers

Eric, come back to reality please. This is honestly a little sad. I'm not saying that it's impossible that this team has some sort of playoff success... it's just almost impossible. You acting like playoff success is a certainty both saddens and worries me a little.

I have to admit, for most people the constant barrage of mediocrity usually brings them down and makes them more pessimistic but I think Eric is going the other way. I don't think you've ever really been connected to reality when it comes to the Blazers but it's also what makes you unique. Keep doing you Eric, you're balancing out the overly negative people on here all by yourself!

Not happening yet. Blazers have to win games to stay in 6th. They have lost 7 of their last 10. The 4 game winning streak on that east coast road trip feels so long ago.

Even if the Blazers do keep 6th it will be hell to defeat the Clippers in a series. They aren't the 2019-20 Thunder. They don't have Westbrook to fuck them. They are far better than that team.

I guess Eric is counting on Kawhi and PG13 to get injured and miss most of the series like Chris Paul and Blake Griffin did

He's comparing it to the Thunder series, not the Clippers series.

oh...you mean when Portland had HCA and OKC had showed no inclination to double and trap Dame like the Clippers have for years?

I didn't say it made any sense, but the only way it's possible for it to make sense is by not saying it in the first place. ;)

yeeeeeeesh...if that was the standard used around here there would be 99.5% fewer posts and threads. Sly would be a lonely dog chained up in an empty back yard

With the 5000 "fire everybody and blow up the team" threads around here Eric starts an optimistic thread and people ask for it to stop? Really? If there's no tolerance for optimism and people who want to cheer for the team then it becomes just a place to bitch daily about the Blazers....@BonesJones you just posted about how easy it is to use your ignore button and be happy here.....then you ask for this thread to be stopped? Thanks Eric for cheering....I'm still cheering but to get to the finals this season would still shock me.....still...keep cheering my friend! Go Blazers..!

It is bit like cheering for your friend toxic relationship to continue, when you know that he abuses his girlfriend. But ok, do what you think is good.

That's so far from the reality of people who aren't pissed at the franchise this season..I don't know where to start....strange metaphor you chose about a friend being abusive to women but hey...you and I probably have very different friends. We just got a couple of new rotation players in the mix...there's time to gell before the playoffs and hopefully we'll peak at the right time...I'm still watching and not interested in this culture of failure that you guys want to project....we're still in this hunt for post season success.

From this side, you are "so far from the reality", maybe because of pretty good winning record. You are just blind to the fact, that Olshey and friends are abusing Blazers:)
And of course, every metaphor I use have to be found in my life first. That's the golden rules of metaphors.
