"Underpowered" lol. Only in America, where SUVs are considered mid-size cars.

An AR-15 is small enough that most states prohibit their use to hunt elk and they are on the small side for deer, so.... They are less powerful with a smaller round than most hunting rifles.

So, when I called it an "underpowered hunting rifle" I was being 100% accurate and when you called it an "assault rifle" you were 100% inaccurate.

The value in the AR15 is that it often looks "cool" (though, any rifle could be configured to look this way) and the rounds are less expensive (being smaller and mass produced to a greater extent than most other rounds).

So for people who like to shoot it's less costly to to go to the range if you are bringing your AR15 than your 30-30, 240, 270, 300, 30-06, 7mm, etc. See the AR-15 round below compared to the most common round used in hunting today (30-06).

Most of this post doesn't really matter as it's just semantics, except for the part I bolded and updated.

No, that's a misquote and an absolute lie. Literally, far more than 99.99% of these guns are never used in a crime of any kind, let alone a murder.

In fact well over 99.99% of gun homicides are committed with a gun other than a rifle of any kind.

    That's not semantics.

Alright man. Really I was only agreeing with you on the fact that .223 rounds are cheaper. Not sure where you are getting these 99.99% numbers, but okay.

Kentucky is considering a bill making it a crime to insult a police officer. The bystanders who called out Chauvin while he murdered George Floyd would be committing a crime. Cancel culture!

Under the newly signed Florida law the penalty for taking down a confederate traitor monument is quite literally equal to the sentence for first degree rape.

Oklahoma's newly signed law blocks prosecution of anyone who drives a car into protesters even if someone is killed. So the nazi now in prison for killing Heather Haier in Charlottesville wouldn't be charged. Nazi lives matter.

Hopefully the police never need to protest anything in Oklahoma, you know like going on strike for a pay raise.

I think you are not stating the bolded one accurately.

    From CNN.COM
The state Senate passed the Republican-sponsored legislation 38-10 last week. The bill makes it a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in prison and a $5,000 fine for anyone who obstructs a public street during the course of a protest, according to the legislation. House Bill 1674 also states that drivers cannot be held criminally or civilly liable for killing or injuring a protestor if they are "fleeing from a riot," and there is "reasonable belief" that they are in danger.

Stop it... You're destroying the all-important narrative by being diplomatic.

You definitely changed the quote. But fine, I apologize for the snotty tone.

There are over 400 million guns in the US. Less than 20k gun homicides per year. That's a fraction of a fraction of a percent. It would take 200 years to get to 1%. And that's homicide by all guns, far less than than 1% of which are rifles.

    Just math.

Wrong. She was about to stab someone. 10% chance of death, especially with a policeman there to immediately call an ambulance while he tourniquets her. When a stabbee dies, it's usually due to bleeding from delay in calling the ambulance.

So he shot her 4 times, shooting to kill. Once would have stopped her.

    Chance of a death: 10% vs. 100%.

Your next move: Say, "But he had only a split second to calculate that!"

Wrong. His training, trickling down from FBI experts, has years to carefully plan procedures, before indoctrinating police in rehearsals at shooting ranges.

    Edit: boldface added

If we are now at a point where a cop is vilified for shooting someone who was in the act of trying to stab someone else, then we might as well just pack it up. Not have cops at all. I mean seriously. You people are Monday morning quarterbacking a decision that happened in a split second where someone was in the motion of swinging a knife at someone else. WHAT THE FUCK WOULD YOU HAVE DONE? We have now passed into the twilight zone. There is literally no reason now for a cop to ever shoot a person of color. They could have their finger on the trigger of a nuclear bomb, about to kill a million people, and there would still be people out protesting the cop. It's fucking ridiculous.
