Sure seems like a lot of overrated QBs going high in the first round. The first 3 picks will be QBs and the washout rate is fairly high at that position drafting them high. Winston Mariota Darnold Trubisky Rosen Wentz none with their original teams and all but Rosen was drafted in the Top 2. Even Baker Mayfield isn’t a star 3 years after being #1 overall.
Ive been a bengals fan since day 1, which for me was superbowl 23. It's been an abusive relationship. The Burrow injury last year was so predictable and tragic. Their front office is so garbage, they need to sell the team to someone who cares.
That was posted by mistake. I was anticipating Jones going 4. Had it typed, then forgot to delete it.
I think it was a smart pick ... to me Chase is the best WR in the draft and there are still a lot of very talented tackles left on the board. That and I'm not nearly as high on Sewell as everyone else, especially the myth that he never gave up a sack in college.
Apparently, Zach Wilson's mom was all the rage... https://pagesix.com/article/who-is-zach-wilson-mom-lisa-wilson/
The Lions draft room was like a bunch of kids on Christmas morning when Penei Sewell fell into their laps. I’m guessing they were going to take Slater from Northwestern as he was likely #2 on their draft board and Sewell to the Bengals seems so obvious a pick. Mike Brown is the new later-days Al Davis. Loves speed but forgets that the QB needs time to throw it to the toys.
The thing that stunned me is that Wilson is of Polynesian descent. wasn’t Max Kellerman whining how the top 3 QBs were white? Why yes, he was. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si...lson-named-2020-polynesian-player-of-the-year Zach Wilson Named 2020 Polynesian Player of the Year HONOLULU — Brigham Young University quarterback Zach Kapono Wilson, of Hawaiian ancestry, and University of Southern California safety Talanoa Hufanga, of Samoan ancestry, have been selected as co-recipients of the 2020 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award.
