what’s your point? We’ll get smoked by any semi healthy team in the playoffs, just like we have in the regular season. Buy into the last week if you want though, you’re only fooling yourself.
Nothing is certain, that's for sure. It's possible he was such a massive overpay that he stays another year, but that would likely also reduce his next contract even more. My gut is that his agent, like many on here, will claim this is just a Stotts issue, not a skillset issue. He only has to convince one GM of this, and we know GMs can make a horrible evaluation (Evan Turner).
If he stays, he gives us a nice tradeable contract next year at the deadline. Kind of like Hood this year.
or before the season even begins, like Hezonja. I don’t mind him picking up his option, I just never understood this theory that he’s being benched so he doesn’t pick up that option. He’s not in a position to be passing on 9m. If they really wanted him to leave they’d be giving him every opportunity to outplay his contract. If a new coach can get more out of him, he can collect that 9m and hit free agency next year. He’s still young.
Jones is useless. Powell is such a better fit as a starter it’s not even close, and Jones off the bench is Travis Outlaw without the mid-range pull-up shot and the same low BBIQ.
Funny thing is, we only have TWO forwards in that rotation, Melo and RoCo. (And they were getting switched out for each other at the end of the Boston game - Melo on offense, RoCo on D.)
This Summer should be the Summer of Developing Nas. If there's a Summer Team, it should be built around him. Also he needs to drink lots of milk and take lots of iron pills because he's as injury-prone as Zach at the moment.
Dame/CJ's average combined usage rate is 59%; last night, it was 58.9%. Their combined FGA's is 39; last night it was 38, but CJ shot 3 more FT's than his average need to see several games that are not blowouts before we can gauge if those two are reducing usage or FGA's. Dame has had 22 assists the last two games but that could just be standard variance
Yep. There are banged up teams in playoffs too. GS won all three of their recent championships by playing banged up teams. Lakers won Finals against banged up Heat. Raptors won Finals against banged up Warriors.
The Raptors championship is such an anomaly. Manage to get prime Kawhi for a rental. LeBron leaves Cleveland for LA and gets injured. The Warriors don’t have Kevin Durant in the Finals. That Raptors championship is a fluke and their best player didn’t want to be there to defend the title.
We've been playing the short rotation for 10 games? You could be right, I'm asking. I've been told the last month of our schedule was brutal. What's our point differential in that time period?
