CJ does not go before Giannis or Gobert. You always just have to push it a little past reality.

There's a good chance CJ would be picked before Gobert. Rudy fits great with what Utah is doing, but traditional centers hold very little value nowadays. Look how little Drummond brought back despite good defense and historical rebounding numbers. You basically have to pay to move those guys, and no one is giving up anything to get them. I feel the same thinking would go into a hypothetical re-draft.

p.s. I don't for a minute believe you thought at the time that Giannis and Gobert were the two best prospects in the draft. That's gonna need supporting evidence to do any convincing.

I didn't think they were the best, I wanted someone with length and athleticism at that time so I was enamored with Nogueira, Gobert and Antetokounmpo. Also for that reason Nerlens Noel was my favorite prospect followed by Otto Porter, Oladipo and KCP. I would have taken any of those four guys before the guys that just looked like they were undeveloped athletes with freakish length... I think I had Bennett after KCP and thought he would be a poor mans Grandmama or less skilled Anthony Mason.

I think CJ could be a good point guard. He's got the handles. He's got size and defense. I like him as a 1.

I think you can be a fan of someone in one aspect of their work and not the other.

I think if we dealt him he would be the point guard of his new team.

We’re talking about CJ Elleby. We’re not dealing him.

Wow, Hawks got lucky this week, their last 2 opponents Blazers, Suns both on a 2nd B2B. 2 scheduled wins in a row for them.

No. Olshey unfortunately works for the Blazers.

    Hopefully he is gone soon.

    Big bets on Hawks!
"DraftKings reported that a bettor in Colorado on Tuesday placed a $20,000 bet on the Atlanta Hawks to win the NBA title at 100-1 odds. According to DraftKings, the same bettor placed another $20,000 bet on Atlanta to win the Eastern Conference at 40-1. If the Hawks shock the NBA by winning the title, the two bets would pay a net $2.8 million combined.

    But there's more.

In Las Vegas, the Westgate SuperBook reported taking a $5,000 bet on the Hawks on Wednesday at 80-1 odds. The Hawks' title odds have gone from 200-1 to 50-1 at the SuperBook in the past two weeks"

Sure, a new GM may help alot? None of us know though who it might be?
Im just glad we havent had droughts like a few of the well managed teams.

    Hornets - 3 playoffs in 18 years.
    Pistons - 2 playoffs in 10 years
    Kings - 14 years w/o a playoff
    Knicks - 1 in 7 years
    Wolves - 1 playoff in 17 years
Suns - 1 in 10 years ....rolling now
