Ok, it's a bet! You do realize that $50 would not be near enough for me to root for the Clippers, right? I actually hope I lose that bet, but sadly, I won't. Props to you for putting your money where your mouth is. A lot of people on here won't do that!
Cool, so you get to pick the game that we judge players' progress from now? You just keep on making up all of your little rules man. This is getting so crazy. I know you're not trolling so again, I'm a little worried. I hope you're right and I'm totally undervaluing our squad and we do big things this post season but that goes against what is realistic.
No, I just see green coming into my Venmo account in a couple weeks! Eric might be way too optimistic and stubborn, but he's a man of his word.
Sad. What a terrible fan you are. I thought more of you before tonight. I thought you were one of the good guys. Guess not.
Terrible fan? Because I'm going to be rooting for the Blazers to beat the Clippers? It would only take $50 for you to root for another team? Not me. I thought you liked the Blazers way more than that.
You bet against your team. Doesn't matter if you bet a dime against them, you bet against them. You have interest in the Blazers losing. You actually bragged about having more money in your Venmo account. Sad. I live the Blazers. Would never bet against them. Ever.
That's insight in how your mind works, not mine. Not an ounce of me will be rooting for the Clippers to beat the Blazers. Sounds like it would only take $50 for you to root against the Blazers though. I hope I'm paying you $50 as I celebrate our improbable victory!
Why bet a dime against the Blazers? $50000 wouldn't make me root against the Blazers BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER BET AGAINST THE BLAZERS.
Also it's kinda gross that you're bragging about $50 not being a lot of money for you. There are a lot of people living in this country who can't afford to bet $50 on anything.
You're the guy basically pissing away $50, so you can spare me the lecture on valuing money. $50 is not enough money for me to root against the Blazers, sorry if that's hard for you to understand. If you want me to donate the $50 I win to a good cause, I'd be happy to. And I'll still be rooting for the Blazers, despite your fandom being impacted by $50.
If I bet, it's to win, not to make a point about how big my fandom is. My pride or fandom has no influence in bets I make, I would consider that foolish. You probably shouldn't make a bet that seemingly upsets you this much.
You're a terrible fan. Nice person. Terrible fan. Tell Dame to his face that you have money on him losing.
Yes, I hope so! You're underrating me as a fan, but overrating me as a person! Next time I talk to Dame, I'll let him know for sure.
the lakers dont want to finish 6th, only to play the la clippers in the 1st round, even more after lebron and davis missed some time they would much rather get into play-in
After Denvers loss it looks like we play the Clippers in the 1st round. The Team who has the best 3pt% and locked up Dame every time we played them...
If the Blazers' recent play is them bringing it all together and not just a hot streak -- and I don't think it is just a hot streak, as they've changed some things in their approach and even won when missing shots they usually make (something that would get them blown out earlier in the year) -- I think it's very reasonable to think they can win three of the last four. My gut feeling is that the Mavs and Lakers each lose two. Dallas, IMO, has been outperforming its talent by a wide margin in the last month or so. An off game for Doncic is doomsday for them. I could see any or all of those middle games being losses. The Lakers aren't healthy and won't be healthy, and they've been trying to fit new pieces in without key pieces to chemistry with them. I think Drummond was a case of subtraction by addition, because he makes all of them have to work harder on the defensive end and he forces AD out of the post if they try to play them together on offense ... and playing AD outside diminishes his effectiveness in addition to changing the whole dynamic of how and where LeBron plays. Obviously, the Lakers can repeat because they have the best player in the game, but they also have a number of weaknesses that could stop them in their tracks very early.
