You Lakers will tough out in any series with LeBron and AD playing but I think more is how healthy they both are in the playoffs. AD look alright against us but we really don't match up well against him so in the other games he hasn't looked like the old AD not saying he can't get there. Now LeBron I would take him at 80 percent then majority of the players at 100 percent. Now the playoffs is always different animal and anything can happen.

    These are probably realistic expectations.

    You missed the "Despite".
The reality though is the Blazers will need help to get past the first round most likely.

This is my thinking. I just cannot count the Lakers out yet and i don't think Drummond fits real well. Gasol has been fitting better because he is money from three.

Blazers don't have one who matches Hezonja's skills either

I could see Denver wanting to keep the Lakers in the play-in & hope they get eliminated. We play the the Nugg's. Phoenix and Utah are to close, to help but its possible Denver wont gain any ground.

It is... but I'm not counting on the Lakers winning it all. I do think they have a better chance than the Nuggets, Mavs, and Blazers combined though!

If everyone is healthy, the Clippers beating the Blazers in a 7 game series seems like a near lock.

people really hoping Portland plays teams who don't play their best players so the Blazers get into the playoffs and play a team that's playing their best players

The only thing about Gasol is where does he fit when LeBron's back playing 30+ minutes per game? He's not a threat in the low post anymore. His game is pick and pop or reverse from the top of the key. When LeBron and Schoeder are back, it seems to me he might just muck up their perimeter spacing.

Actually, I am hoping that those teams don't play their best players, we win out, and Dallas loses 1 game.
Then we would play Denver who will be missing one of their best players.

Agreed... a 4/5 matchup with Denver is by far the best case scenario. Would a huge run be likely? No. We could beat Denver though.

With the Clippers losing today, Denver is back within 1 game of the LAC for the 3 seed, and they hold the tie-breaker.

they are also 2-0 against Portland and 1-2 against Dallas. It could be if they have a chance to get 3rd seed by beating Portland in the season final, and that would get them the Blazers in a 3/6 matchup, they'd play to win that game. They have 3 fairly winnable games left before the Blazer game

and as long as the #1 seed hangs in the balance, it could be that both Utah and Phoenix will play to win against Portland

I wouldn't be surprised if teams rested players, but there is still a lot at stake right now

and I'm not sure how much top teams will fear a matchup against the Lakers; they have looked real vulnerable for months now

IMO, they would be foolish to not do whatever it takes to avoid the Lakers in the first round.

So you bet against the Blazers and for the Lakers?
You do understand people who are from Portland don't much like The Lakers right?

Yes. And yes I understand Blazer fans don't like the Lakers, I hate them!

I don't bet on emotion though. Nor do I bet amounts that would cause me to root against my favorite team.

Hate to break it to you, but how someone on a message board rates my fandom is absolutely meaningless to me. Would you care to know how good of a fan I think you are?
