    First contract and already Drury is going better than Gorton. he's a RFA at the end of the deal still. Great contract.

    Now he needs to extend Fox, Shesterkin and Kakko if possible.

    Technically, Lindgren wasn't extended. His rookie contract was up. Either way, good move.

    It'll be interesting to see what Fox next contract looks like.

    My how quickly we forget what Gorton did. From the Zib trade and contract, to the Fox trade, to the Nash trade, to the Strome trade, on and on. Not all moves were perfect, no GM is perfect, but he had a very high success rate. But he wasn't perfect so...

    Like I said, Drury should extend him now. 6 years 42 million. Lock him up. He's not going to start sucking. He's pretty much a lock. Gorton like a dipshit would have waiting to give him a 2 year bridge deal.
