I guess it isn't surprising, but JD is back as the President of the BJ's. Kind of frustrating. I know the rumor is he got canned also because he stood up for Gorton, but who knows if that's true. Considering JD is back as a President 2 weeks later, with a team that knows him really well, it is yet another bad look for Dolan IMO. Dumb move - but we move forward now.
Good man, wish him well (but not too well). Hey JD - the Columbus blueline is looking pretty thin. We have some solid defensive prospects you might like if Jenner is available.
Haha I have a sneaking suspicion he may not be too keen on trading with the Rangers in the near future .
“I had a respectful conversation with James Dolan,” JD said. “We decided to part ways.” There wasn’t much more than that with regards to his departure. What you can take away from his comments is that Dolan must have brought his views about the hockey club forward and JD didn’t agree. Ergo the decision to part ways. HHHHMMMMMMM - who am I going to put my faith in, James f'ing Dolan or JD? That's a tough one. CBJ snaps him back up in a heartbeat, sure they were like are you kidding me - we can get JD back - wow, and we have Dolan. What a joke. This franchise is really something else with this terrible, impulsive, egotistical, full of himself owner.
I love JD, and he will always be loved in New York. But the rumor is also that Gorton did not want to make any big moves this off-season and wanted another year of drafting limitless picks. If that is true, then I support decision to fire Gorton. We need veteran presence now to help young talent thrive. Another year of Quinn playing LFA, Kakko and Kravtsov on 3rd and 4th lines where they clearly don't belong would have been horrible. I am not sure why some of you are so traumatized with this decision. If that rumor is true, then the firiing is valid.
Because there is no reason to believe that rumor and way more likely that Dolan is an impulsive douche who knows nothing about how to build a winning hockey franchise.
