Zach defensely was big on the defense side that series made some clutch blocks that turn the game around. Zach might give you a lot of points but does the little things that helps this team succeeded. One thing he does he challenge shots and he rim protect he usually goes both arms up when jumps so it's harder for the offense to see the rim plus he also block enough shots that makes that has the offense player thanking about it. But if you really watch him he stays in front of his man and when does get beat majority he gets back in the play and still contest the shot. Are we missing him this series my answer is yes.

This coach comes out the day before the game and literally says he doesn't have to change anything coaching wise and then follows through by not making adjustments and then has the nerve after the game to applaud himself for not doing his job by saying he thought they contested shots well....

And people STILL wanna put that on the roster? LMAO!

Bullshit. It's just that the Blazers lack of defense has made scrubs look valuable for years, nothing has changed. Is anyone surprised when another team has a record night from three against us?

Some if it's is coaching because job at time out to get them back to what ever the game plan was or adjusting how the game going. But when a coach allows players to play like that so long and don't have no accountable in them then your just on deaf ear with player or players like that. This the problem with Stotts and this why these players like playing for him. No you don't need drill sergeant to be your coach but you need someone that hold your best players feet to fire when you need to.

Bad choice words by Stotts but telling me maybe he ready to move on from this organization. I don't the roster built very good in first place. Yes we got some really good individual one way players and most of that on offense side but defense side there just not enough there to me. Denver beating us because they playing as a team plus there coach is making the adjustment in the games. Plus the puzzle pieces fit with there team. I don't think the puzzle pieces fit with this team. A lot people that's Dame and CJ same type of player so then you draft someone just like them in Simons. You bring 2 players in for defense Covington and Jones but really there both same type of player there both maybe average on ball defenders if you push it and decent off ball defenders. Nurk is not same player that was before the broken leg he don't move as good as he use to especially on defense but he still a decent center. But it's the Coach job try to put the pieces to fit but if you don't have the right pieces then your not going complete the puzzle. No Stotts and olshey hasn't shown me that they can complete the puzzle together.

Went there 3 players went down was Denver still winning the answer is yes that tell me there deep. Now the replacement are they all star but by watching them there very solid NBA players. Rivers is not scrub player he been decent through out is career. This little point guard is not a scrub but tough hard nose type of player I wish we had a few like him. Green been solid backup in his career and Milsep might be declining but still can play. There role players are more rounded then our role players and it's showing out there.

    Our threes were contested.

    Their threes were not contested.

    Predictable result.

    I'm just :smiley-hmm:

I lack the basketball knowledge to understand why, in a three point shooting league, the Blazers completely sell out on guarding the paint, leaving the corner three, that any high schooler can make, wide open. Also we are always having to sprint out to an open three point shooter, leaving another three point shooter unguarded. I guess I don't understand modern basketball.

I thought Powell was supposed to be a good three point shooter? His shot looks like shit. IMO Powell was an upgrade to Trent Jr. during the regular season, but right now I wish we had Trent back for the playoffs. Powell's driving ability also seems less effective faced with playoff defense. I'm not scapegoating the guy, just saying that to me, based on how this series is going, we could use Trent's three point shooting and defense. Could very possibly have meant the difference in game 3.

What happened to the ghost of DJJ? Last time he made a rare appearance, he looked totally deflated, demoralized, and dejected. (Miss you Wheels.)
