Regardless of what we get, it will be 50-65 cents on the dollar. Any trade for CJ will be to clear cap space, it won't be an upgrade in talent.

Probably will be Myles Turner and Jeremy Lamb or TJ Warren for another threadmill move.

Just get longer and more athletic. Two things Olshey refuses to do and it shows in the product.

CJ could probably get you DeRozan and Patty Mills...DeRozan and Powell have chemistry together from the Raptors days...give us a slasher and midrange threat with great IQ for the game and Patty....I just like Patty to be back

I think he'd fit great with Dame and Norm...slide Norm to the 2 guard

Lol what? He got Jones, Nassir and Giles this offseason and our coach didn't play any of them, because he's too dimwitted to think of anything on offense other than stand in the corner and watch Dame work.

Olshey can go fuck right off too, but that wasn't the problem.

He's a UFA this year. It will be quite hard to get though.

    Could structure something like this:

    CJ to NYK
Derozan to PDX on a S&T
    NYK sends assets to SAS

But I don't think DeRozan is the answer.

I don't disagree. If we could work FA deal with him it would be great. Dudes like him seem to head to Nets or Lakers at that point in their career.

the most baffling thing ever. we replaced hezonja and tolliver with the likes of blue chip athletes but kept them glued to the bench. 7 man rotation? no wonder dame had no legs left

This is patently wrong there is trade interest in CJ. Now, does that interest equal the value of a legit number two option coming back in return? No I don't think it does with most if not all front offices but if we want to be out of the CJ McCollum business we won't have to pay our way out. The Knicks will pay us and if we just want some picks a prospect and cap room, I'm sure they'd do that. I'm sure there are GMs I'm not aware of that feel the same way as the Knicks have been reported to feel about him too.

I keep staring at the Knicks, because they have the capspace to basically absorb CJ, they have the need for a guy with his skills, and they are looking for momentum after making the playoffs for the first time in years. Thibs is the kind of guy that wants to win as many regular season games as possible. I can definitely see that team talking themselves into CJ being better if he didn't have to play in the shadow of Dame.

They have all their picks. They have the Mavs 1st. They have a billion seconds. They have some interesting young players that developing teams may want to take a look at like Knox, Ntilikina, Toppin, Quickley etc.

The framework is CJ to New York. New York sends assets to a third team. And the third team sends some players to Portland. It likely won't be someone that's as good as CJ in a vacuum, but you could get someone that fits better + some cap flexibility that will let you work out other deals down the line.

Yes to CJ for the Knicks. Maybe he can wear John Starks old number because he definitely has his streaky shooting.

Yeah, I've been saying this and the player I hope we can target would be Pascal Siakam... that's if the Raptors are doing a youth rebuild like has been rumored.

I'm also curious how his value was affected by this awful series. If you look at his regular season numbers, you could talk yourself into him being a star!

I'm really curious what's going to happen with the two LA teams.

Can they really build another winner around LeBron? Can he still be a #1? Dame and LeBron are super close. He got LA their ring. Does this team win a title if we get LeBron?

Yeah, same here. I think Siakam has more value in a vacuum than 2 1sts and Toppin which is what I expect the offer would be. Also no idea if they trade him. Maybe if Portland poaches Masai, Masai can negotiate the deal. If Masai stays in Toronto, I don't see why they would want to move Siakam.

Doesn't matter. LeBron controls that team and he's definitely not asking to get traded to Portland LOL.

Siakam is 27. That still seems young enough to build around.

Yeah, if they see him as a number one guy but if they're looking to do something similar to Houston and see Siakam as a good second option but not a guy you build around, then maybe picks 19, 32 and Toppin seems more valuable.
