I wonder if the following is a superior version of Blazerkor's often mention PDX-NY-Tor trade * CJ to NY for assets... *....which are diverted to Minny along with Nurkic and picks.... *....which return to Portland KAT and one of Rubio or Malick Beasely (I'd prefer Beasely, but Rubio would be OK) is that too homerific in Portland's favor?
I was thinking about this as well, but the big issue would be avoiding a situation where NY is thinking "why don't we just trade for KAT?"
I don't think Minnesota has the least interest in trading KAT. He had their best BPM by far. With Beasley healthy (and once out of jail), Edwards growing and I think will eventually be an all-star, Mc daniel looking at lot better than expected and Russell should regain his old form next season, they have a nice core.

If we don’t wanna trade Dame why would Minny wanna trade KAT. How about a sign and trade to the Clips for Kawhi if they get bounced in Round 1. Of course Dame would probably have to sell Kawhi on it. Another reason Billups should be the next coach.
Minnesota hasn't gotten anywhere with KAT. Actually makes ton of sense to trade him and get back some veteran players/picks to pair with Edwards and go from there.
The Kat to PDX thing is NOT a trade rumor - forget about it. It was just an idea from someone not associated with either team.
