CJ, a first round pick, and Simons for Ben Simmons. Then re-sign Norm

Sign me up... that guy at the forward spot with RoCo and all of the ball movement we could get with him, Dame and Nurk. The only problem is that we would have two starters that can't hit the three but the three doesn't have to be everything.

cj and Simmons actually have comparable metrics. Their VORP was nearly identical this season. It could just be a case of filling different needs for each team. Simmons helps the defense and gives us a true lead guard that can be a point forward and run the second unit. McCollum upgrades phillys offense, gives them a guy who can create his own shot, and spaces the court around Embiid.

The problem with Simmons is that his value is greatest with the ball in his hands facilitating but is that possible in a Dame Iso offense? May have to pass on a Simmons trade.

I’d trade CJ for Quickley/Robinson/1st right now, they can absorb the contract.

we need to move on from an iso based offense. This is pretty clear and dame feels the same way

What would you do with Nurk since Robinson is likely better?

We can’t do that trade. Stotts needs 3 point shooters at all positions.

I'd consider Porzingis. Between him and Collins we'd have two lanky 7 footers who are injured a lot but combined should be able to cover the PF position. Roco plays small forward. We're pretty big at all positions except PG, assuming Norm and Nurk are back.

Not sure I'd call -7 wins "Successful". Maybe they need to fix their app.

Worked ok for Booker and CP. he’s only one pass away from having the ball back in his hands at anytime. Simmons defense and being able to create easy shots for other players would be a nice fit

I’d trade him, possibly in the same deal for another 1st or Toppin. Not sure but I’m pretty much done counting on Nurk. Injury prone and inconsistent.

Jeez, you'd do ANYTHING to give the Lakers an edge.

All of the suggested trade reveal: there are no sensible trades out there for CJ.

Before Morey arrived, Philly made sense. But then they went from super-big to small with good shooters already. (And it turns out that Josh Richardson was only good with the Heat.)
    MAYBE the Knicks?
Maybe a truly sucky team that just wants a scorer to appease their beleaguered fans? Houston, maybe? But do we want Eric Gordon in return?

Sure there are teams (like maybe the Lakers) who would be happy to offer us their dregs for him, but I'd rather not help the Lakers for dregs.

which lineup is better (assuming Powell is gone if CJ stays):

    Dame
    CJ
    Jones
    RoCo
    Nurkic
(bench about the same as now)

    or

    Dame
    CJ
    RoCo
    Zach
    Nurkic
(bench about the same as now)

    or

    Dame
    Powell
    RoCo
    Porzingas
    Nurkic
(bench about the same with a 'healthy' Zach)
