Wow like I said earlier I personally don’t want Kidd as coach. But that article was really good. How he started a young girls AAU basketball team was really cool.
This is a vastly different approach than Dam & CJ taking pride that they 'take the most difficult shots in the league'
Dame is probably the reason stotts was not fired years ago. Sad to think what wr could have done with another coach, but the real cancer of the team is cj, he should be a 6th man not a 30 million dollar #2
I honestly believe that if this team hires Jason Kidd I will be done. I just don’t think I can root for him to succeed. If we hire the worst coach possible, I could still hope for the best and rally behind him/her, but hiring someone who pled guilty for domestic abuse and a drunk driver, who was so drunk he hit a damn telephone pole, would probably end my relationship with the team. So the good news would be 1. A pair of season tickets would become available 2. The forum wouldn’t have to deal with my snark any longer
She has been lead assistant to one of the NBA'S mist successful head coaches, coached summer league, also as a player was a winner in college, pros, Olympics. Is she was a man she would be considered a solid candidate for head coaching job.
My two cents on Kidd ... I also would have a problem supporting the organization if they hired him, based on both the domestic abuse and irresponsible drinking. The latter doesn't excuse the former, either; it makes it worse. I've had a couple of very close female friends abused mentally and physically by their partners. I've also had a couple of friends' 18-year-old son pass out in a stream while drinking with his friends and drown (on my birthday, no less). These are two things that I don't take lightly. I'm all about rehabilitation and giving people chances to correct the error of their ways, but it doesn't sound like Kidd's really properly addressed his demons, and, truthfully, people don't take domestic abuse and alcohol abuse as seriously as I think they should, so it doesn't surprise me.
A bucks team coached by Jason Kidd: 44-38 (7th seed) A bucks team with no Jason Kidd the next season: 60-22 (1st seed) uh oh
Never thought I'd say this, but - shut up, Dame "Terry Stotts out in Portland and Damian Lillard says he likes Jason Kidd or Chauncey Billups, the two likely choices"
