The fuck you talking about dude... Jaylen Brown is absolutely legit. People like you get on Olshey for not getting Dame a 2nd star but this is far too much and means all the pieces are somehow trash? Try making sense.
Maybe Boston would We can agree to disagree The only way I want the Blazers giving our first again to Houston is if they are trading us Wood. Indiana wouldn't Trade Myles for Roco and DJJ
POR Gets: Jaylen Brown, Christian Wood, Kelly Oynyk BOS Gets: CJ McCollum, Myles Turner, Avery Bradley IND Gets: Jusuf Nurkic, RoCo, Eric Gordon, Por 2022 1st HOU Gets: Kemba Walker, Caris Lavert, POR 2024 1st
I like Brown, he's a fringe all-star... Much like you say CJ is. I said I would do the trade straight up, so I'm not hating on him. Little surprise you would add DJJ and RoCo, two guys you've been praising as part of our deep/talented roster. Seems like a lot for you to want to give up. Not sure what the anger is about.
Why not just trade Nurk, CJ and DJJ to Indy for Turner and Sabonis? We keep RoCo this way. I prefer Turner & Sabonis over Brown & Gordon
We're giving up a 1st to take Gordon instead of Kemba so if you'd rather have Kemba... I think there's a solid chance Indiana would.
Kelly Olynyk is a free agent. Not tradeable. Solid for Boston. Why would Indiana trade Turner for Nurkic? They'd trade Turner to play Sabonis at C. Nurkic is an even worse fit next to Sabonis. And then they give up LaVert in order to take on Gordon's terrible contract and RoCo? Houston already basically said no to LeVert so they're not about to essentially swap Wood for him.
He got 25ppg and 3.5apg on insane efficiency and plays good defense at 24... How is he a "fringe all-star"?
Once again you assume my posts are about you, but I was responding to someone else (who I quoted). I didn't quote or mention you in the post you got all fired up about. If I'm posting about you, I'll tag or quote you. He was 5th in backcourt all-star voting (fans, players media). The next player below him did not make the team. Therefore he was the last backcourt player to be selected. If the last guy eastern conference backcourt player selected, playing in his first all-star game isn't a fringe all-star, then I guess there are no frigne all-stars (minus CJ for some).
You're so full of shit dude. I came up with the idea and said I'd do it and you said: I also love how you say "Olshey needs to acquire an all-star" and then when Jaylen Brown gets brought up it's "He's not enough of one based off voting!"... He's 24. He's still getting better. I don't realistically see how you can expect anything better back.
POR Gets: Christian Wood, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart BOS Gets: CJ McCollum, Myles Turner, Malcolm Brogdon HOU Gets: Kemba Walker, Caris Lavert, POR 1st 2022 IND Gets: John Wall, RoCO, DJJ, HOU 1st 2022, POR 1st 2024
Eric Gordon's contract already matches up with Walls. Wall's contract has 2 more years for $91M (technically he has a player option the second year, but he will not be opting out of that) Gordon has 3 more years, but the 3rd year ('23-24) is NOT guaranteed. Effectively he has 2 years for $37M. Walker has 2 years (but like Wall he will not opt out of the second year salary) for $73M. You are having Houston take on almost $40M of salary to upgrade from Gordon to Walker. The contracts are effectively the same length... I'm not sure that makes much sense for Houston.
Just so we're clear, the first tradeable first rounder we now have is 2023... not that it makes a huge difference.
I absolutely jump on this deal. Brown is a perfect player for our new core of Dame/Powell/Nurk. Gordon would be our microwave scorer off of the bench. I like it a lot. An ideal PF would be one that can shoot 3 of course, defend multiple positions, and rebound well
