DFW isn't an idiot; he knows star potential. Izzy, Ngannou, and Usman all have star potential for different reasons. Izzy can be a star through flashy fights and slick striking, Usman can be a star via just pure skill and domination ala GSP, and Ngannou because he's a fucking freak who can knock anyone out. They still have Conor, Dustin, the Diaz brothers, etc...and up and coming they have some nice prospects in Khamzat, O'Malley, etc... Costa doesn't scream star potential to me...he has a very dislikable personality and comes off as very arrogant. Factor that in with the way Izzy whooped him last, I actually agree with Dana in this situation. Costa isn't a house hold name and isn't in a position to be demanding more money. Yes there is a fighter pay problem, yes it needs to be fixed...but Costa needs to learn how to read a room and know what position he's in. I don't think he's in any position to be turning down a 6 figure payday.
