We lost this series and many others because he refuses to play defense. Even him feeling bad was something offense related

It should have been, he didn't make a basket in 11 minutes in a must win game....we had shots we got stops...we couldn't convert....CJ is no great defender but he didn't step up in this series like he needed to as a volume scorer...that's what he is, he's not ever going to be Bruce Bowen....He referenced his 3 turnovers that helped sink the team too...two time mvp Steve Nash was probably one of the worst defenders I've seen play...and he turned the ball over a lot trying to thread the needle with his pass....some guys are just never going to be two way players.

...all things considered though, Steve Nash never would've let Monte Morris outplay him for 6 games in a row :dunno:

Actually a rookie player named Dame schooled him in his first game to the point of making it his last game in the NBA...and yeah...CJ choked this series when it counted

I’d be very surprised if CJ is on the roster next year. Neil is going to try anything because he knows his job is on the line and CJ outside of Lillard is our most tradeable asset

Todd Bosma might need to hand over the keys as well. This is going to be like a Steve Patterson type house cleaning

...hey, I hope you're right about seeing CJ with a different HC. By all accounts he has always been very coachable. Maybe his preparation will meet opportunity as well :dunno:

    The eastern conference would qualify.

Yeah, the fact that Olshey talked up Norm so much in his press conference and said that it would be good to get another superstar to pair with Dame, after years of saying that CJ was that second piece doesn't bode well for those who would like to keep CJ. For me, I'm just trying not to get my hopes too high because I've been wanting Dame and CJ split up for a long time now, like so many others.

I would take a year off if I was him; after all he'll be getting paid for it.

Always hiring as long as you don’t mind huffing around freight and wearing short shorts.

Expect Kawhi 2.0 from CJ next year with a new coach.
