QB is not the problem. You may think this is nuts but QB wasn't the problem last year either.
FIVE GUYS WHO CAN BLOCK !!!!
Find 5 guys who can remember the friggin' snap count, and who will actually block and anybody on the roster can QB this team. We had a 45 year old man at QB once upon a time, and he won games. Because he had 5 guys who could block.

That problem is blatantly obvious. The question is why are they holding onto Walters? He has had 8 chances to prove himself and only produced 3 TDs and 13 INTs. Even Carr wasn't that bad after taking years of punishment behind the NFL's worst line and he's an average QB at best.
I've heard that Daunte may not be 100% until 08 so who knows?
Though, I agree w/ the assessment about Oaklands OL.

I guess I really didn't respond to part about Walter. Here's the thing. The Raiders drafted Walter out of ASU the season after he broke all of John Elway's NCAA records. Al Davis is of a belief that a "stiff" couldn't do that.
Joe Willie freakin' Namath would have been lucky to throw for 3 td's behind that mirage of an offensive line.
Therefore, Walter stays. Until such time as he fails miserably behind a competent line.
Lot's of people still think Elway holds all the records. He don't. Andrew Walter does.

He would have had more sacks if he were quarterbacking the Raiders last season.

Pickett was only signed to give the RAIDERS a third arm in camp so that the other two, Walter and McCown wouldn't be noodle-armed before Jamarcus gets to camp. With Culpepper in town, the third arm now belongs to Walter.
Quote of the day
"How about picking up the ball when it's on the ground?" -- Kiffin, after quarterback Andrew Walter fumbled a snap and made little attempt to get back the ball during a scrimmage
LMAO!
Third stringers...

Thanks. I think that I'll stay a while. I'm lazy, so having all these forums linked is great for me.
Speaking of seeing me around, I'll be coming up for the Bears game in November. Not sure of all the logistics yet, but if you are going to the game we'll have to hook up.
