I get it’s a meme, but taking away someone’s right to vote over a health decision would be incredibly fucked up.

What about getting an education? Our grandparents had to be vaccinated for Polio to go to school way back. As a parent of 2 students and the son of a teacher, I have NO issue making it a requirement to attend school.

Punish the kid for the decision of the parent?

Many vaccinations are already compulsory, so it wouldn’t be a huge stretch. My argument against it would be that A. COVID is virtually harmless to school age children and B. The mRNA vaccine hasn’t been thoroughly tested for long term effects. Most studies have already concluded schools aren't places where a lot of COVID spread takes place anyway, due to children’s resilience to the disease and the fact that transmission is rare when people are asymptomatic, which children almost always are. And C. Denying children an education over a disease that doesn’t affect them will cause more long term societal problems than the extremely low risk of them catching COVID will IMO.

Also kids given the vaccine can no longer be considered a food source since the vaccine isn't approved by the dept. of agriculture.

There are many alternatives to public schooling during high risk pandemics.....one is to homeschool ...another is to hire vaccinated tutors along with other families and split the cost with them for classes held outdoors with safe distancing or in well ventilated spaces. I've tutored throughout my teaching career for families in this manner...if parents value the kids education, they'll pay for it to be supplemented if possible. It's not kids that are the problem...it's their un vaccinated parents that expose children of vaccinated parents to unnecessary risk....as far as LONG TERM effects........it's been less than two years...no pandemics have the luxury of long term anything without millions of people dying over the years to be considered long term testing...England after loosening restrictions now has to go back into total lockdown again....this Delta strain is a motherfucker....hopefully if people are just smart about this we can be back to a more normal life in the fall. It's really simple to just follow some basic guidelines and practices

Germany, where the Pfizer vax was created, has recommended those under 18 not take the shot unless they have underlying medical conditions or obesity.

All these freedom dummies and refusing to wear a mask and now denying vaccines, it’s all so stupid. Fascinating too. What happened that triggered their deep fear of losing their freedom and how does a fucking mask scare them so badly. Vaccines work. They’ve saved millions of lives.

Looks like he's going to have to kill himself because he said all drug dealers will be executed.

    That's such a shit article.

"Americans are refusing to get the Covid vaccine for many different reasons, but the Biden Admin is pushing for 70% vaccination so they can wield power over the unvaccinated.

This has nothing to do with saving lives.

    It’s all about power."

I wouldn't do that although I might say something when people go maskless in public.

To me, this seems a bit far-reaching. Dunno. At any rate, sure glad I don't live there.

San Francisco to require COVID-19 vaccinations for city employees

SAN FRANCISCO – In an announcement Wednesday evening, the city of San Francisco told its 37,000 employees they must either be vaccinated against COVID-19 within 10 weeks of the Food and Drug Administration giving final approval to a coronavirus vaccine, or lose their jobs.

This would make San Francisco the first large U.S. city to require vaccination of all city employees.

"It's quite straightforward – it's my job to protect the safety of our employees; I am exercising my duty under the San Francisco charter to do just that," said Carol Isen, the human resources director for the city and county of San Francisco........
