Not first off the bench. Pretty much a security blanket and towel waver until he is needed.

milwaukee fans absolutely hate mike budenholzer, they say he cant coach offense and its been the same shit for three straight years, it works well in the regular season, but not in the playoffs where their offense gets exposed

also, kevin durant is pretty good at basketball

    Saying this for years
They aren't doing in the playoffs what they did so successfully during the regular season, and what his team did to overachieve in Atlanta. They went from really moving the ball quick around the perimeter and spreading shots around to just relying on isos for Giannis and Middleton. Even Jrue Holiday's been practically invisible ... brings the ball upcourt, gives it to Giannis, Giannis dribbles 10 seconds off the shot clock looking for a seam, then either attacks or passes out to Middleton.

    It's rec ball offense.

I am still trying to figure out how a 2 time MVP can be so un-valuable when it counts.

The guy needs to play in the post more and drive when he can. He shouldn't play wing that comes down and shoots.

    Yeah what a bitch.

you do whatever it takes to win. He’ll never be a champion with that mentality.

He's got All-World size and athleticism, but his basketball skills wouldn't earn a starting spot on many HS teams.

I've always been concerned about a quote from Giannis a couple years back, about how unprofessional he was early in his career before realizing he needed to work hard if he wanted to be good. That's a bit of a Caleb Swanigan red flag. You either have the work ethic all along, or it: a) ebbs and flows, or b) is only spottily applied.

And he needs to defer to those who can shoot in crunch time. That is just not his game. In the playoffs when there are fewer fast breaks (where he excels) he is still a force if he is not in foul trouble. ( I assume his 5 fouls is why he was not covering Durant in the 4th) He can still grab offensive rebounds and get putbacks. It's just hard to grasp that he can be so dominant for 3 1/2 quarters and so below average in the last 5-6 minutes. (On offense)

But even when he's dominate at times he appears out of control but near the hoop he's a beast. If they had another big forward to could spread the floor (not Tucker) it wold help Giannis big time.

Agreed. But they have Lopez at center who can spread the floor. And they have Middleton at forward who apparently is the "missing piece" for the Blazers

not an ideal guy to go to for closing out a game. offense is limited to head down go to basket and get fouled. and he cant make free throws. cant shoot outside.

Giannis should play a lot more like Draymond and a lot less like Durant. Smart players consistently play to their strengths. Giannis has some elite skills combined with absurd length, but hesitation-back-down dribbling and perimeter shooting aren't in his tool-box. He's got himself a MeJ problem.

He might be more Robin than Batman.

Giannis and Budenholzer were embarrassed last night. If Giannis was not surrounded by ALL STARS maybe he woud have no choice but to put his head down every single time and force shots. But he has elite shooting in Lopez and Middleton, an all star PG, very solid role players who can shoot it.....and he/they still kept up with awful offense. That was worse than anything I have seen Stotts do. Awful.

Looking at the injuries this season wow. I can feel Dames frustration. This year the title was wide open. I mean look at these names missing significant time:

    LeBron
    Davis
    Embiid
    Harden
    Irving
    Mitchell
    Murray
    Paul
    Conley
    Kawhi

We had our entire team healthy and got bounced in round one…

Suddenly every other coach position in the NBA is open. That kind of fucks things up for us, unless we offer GM powers as well.
