What are their odds of landing the first pick this year?

The Sabres suck ass. If they had a clue which they don't they would trade the pick, pick up 2 or 3 NHL ready prospects with high upside. They have sucked forever.

If we somehow keep the pick at #15 there should be a nice group of C prospects to choose from, like Raty, Bolduc, Pinelli or L'Heureaux. I think Sillingers son may be gone. I like Raty alot though he seems a bit streaky.

Based on what I have been reading, I'd be very surprised if we kept the pick.

I agree I don’t see them keeping the pick unless they do the following trade up to get Sillinger and then trade Buchnevich to Colorado for Kadri and their first round pick and then take that other kid that’s a power forward

Can't be thinking about drafting a C prospect in the first round in this draft in my mind. That pick has to be packaged with players/prospects to get a proven/veteran #2C (or #1C if they don't believe Zib is a premier C). Dolan, for what its worth, has made it clear the rebuild is over. The Rangers aren't stock piling prospects anymore. The moves they make this offseason are to position them to contend for the cup this year. Full stop.

If they keep the pick a C prospect for the system should be the pick but I fully expect them to make a trade for a top 6 center

Right, i totally agree it should be used first if possible in a deal, if not then we need to start building up the C's in the system as it's completely Barron(Morgan):cool2:
