Grow up. Criticize him on talent, not where he has worked in the past.

When Bob Whitsitt hired Kevin Calabro from the Kansas City-Omaha Kings, no one in Seattle complained that he was hiring another NBA team's play-by-play announcer. I remember it well.

Calabro is not originally a "Seattle guy."

He doesn't have to be originally from seattle. We fired someone in Barrett who was ours, who I found to be awesome and very talented, for Calabro, who became the Seattle guy, whether adopted or whatever, that I can not stand to listen to. Irregardless of if he was a Seattle guy or not.

mike barrett was insufferable. dude drove me insane with how up and down he was.

and he was a bigger homer than Rice-- rice was at least endearing.

I don’t think there is an agenda or need to worry. I just don’t like a guy who called games and rooted for our biggest rival now calling games for us. I think it’s disingenuous

That was also like 30 years ago when they didn't have our opinionated asses to speak on it in a message board.

So you believe that once an opponent, always an opponent. I'm sure you're consistent: We should never trade for a player on another NBA team, since he tried to make us lose in past games. Germany, Japan, and Britain are still the enemy.

It really seems to me like there was non stop complaining in here about the Mike's...until they got fired. Then all of a sudden everyone loved them. I didn't really care for them. Was happy they got fired. I like Calabro and Hurd, personally.

It's really exciting to know that our games will sound like a top tier NBA broadcast again.

I really like Rice as the third guy on a broadcast. Hope they bring him back for only home games or something.

Was listening to him and MB on a podcast with Wheels a while back and Rice is still so engaged with the team and roster. Was sad to see him go. Barrett, I was happy to see go.

We can just think differently, it’s cool. I’m trying to love everyone. I’m sorry I’m unable to express my feelings in a way that’s clear.

Rice went because he started saying offensive shit. There was no way the team would have kept him any longer.

You should attend more meet and greets so you could have heard it yourself.
