I'm limiting the options here to what I think are the three main contenders. I think 90% of us would pick Erik Spoelstra as coach-and-GM over all three, but I'm also pretty sure that ain't happening, so pick which of these three you would dislike the least. (And to all of those of you who say "I don't want ANY of them!" then here's the secret: don't vote!)

I'll go with Billups because he's was one of the most respected and still is, people in the association. He's D Wade & G Hill caliber that knows the game well and players like his balance.

Should have stuck with Stotts if these are your options... Change for the sake of change isn't good.

But really, we should have had somebody in place to replace Stotts for years, and let Stotts go once that person was ready to take over.

I like Billups the best but if it is for right away for the last couple years of Dame's prime, of those 3 I voted MDA. I think Billups could grow into a good coach.....but would that happen fast enough given the short window?

I get the sense Billups has a fair level of respect from the LAC players. The fact that he holds players accountable will be a bonus for a team who hasn’t had that attribute in their coach in the past nine seasons.

Hammon is a dark horse but after what @calvin natt pointed out about her work ethic, I’ve cooled on the prospect of having her coach the team. Too risky in my opinion.

can I go with none of the above? reason is, I don't think a rookie head coach would be good for an already established playoff team. and D'Antoni is literally Stotts but older.

I want a non-rookie head coach, so I'll choose Mike D. He's Stotts without the constant Butterfingers nagging errors and stupid shots. Which make us lose. Plus he's a little better in defense than Stotts, but who isn't.

I prefer the former poll, with all the options the Blazers are considering. It's not down to these 3.

Kind of startling how little being accused of rape affects one's job prospects.

I missed the thing about Beckys work ethic, can you link or quote it?

it wasn't just her work ethic that was trashed. It was her competence, character, and integrity that were trashed from behind a couple of layers of anonymous sources

    * she is lazy and has a bad work ethic
    * the players tune her out
    * she's a laughing-stock in the Spurs organization

which all begs the question if she's that fucking bad and undeserving of a job, why would a model organization like the Spurs keep her employed for 7 years?

well, the source had an easy answer for that:

    * the Spurs, Buford & Popovich, are afraid to fire her because she's a woman

so, the character assassination was tied up with a convenient pink bow

maybe it's all true, I don't know. But the combo of the harsh things said, the notion that the Spurs wouldn't get rid of a coach that bad, and the timing of the mud-slinging do make the 'charges' seem like agenda and back-stabbing, which in turn, at least for me, makes it hard to find credible
