Kay mentioned Buddy Hackett. In the mid-70s, I was a Cook at a Diner-Cafe, which made massive Lumber-Jack sized Omelettes, with a pound or more of Hash browns, served on a platter not a plate. With a side plate full of biscuits and gravy. Buddy would stay at a Hi-Desert Retreat/ Salon, a mile down the Highway, for overweight rich people. He'd walk, not run around an Olympic sized track a time or two, for his daily exercise, then he'd drive in for our Lumberjack meal. No wonder he never lost any weight!
