Maybe he wants some semblance of a system in place where people move around?

MDA is a great hire as long as the staff is stacked as well. I'd throw head coaching-type money at Udoka or Ham or Lee to be the lead assistant (likely MDA's successor in Portland as well).

I was coming from the perspective of Dame since we have technically gotten to a WCF with a coach and him. I didn't extrapolate on it.

Mostly agree except the 76-77 Blazers won the championship after not having made the playoffs in 75-76. They just caught lightning in a bottle that season!

Mike D'Antoni offence would certainly put the ball in Dames hands!

While I love Mike Rice and always have. He’s about as in the know these days as the rest of us.

Wilkins got fired and told a reporter "watch Walton will be healthy and they will win a championship"!

Great point. He really is just stating what he knows about Dame, so I thought it was interesting

Lillard made Stott's offense look good.

D'Antoni's offense would make Lillard look even greater!

And we’d still be a shitty defensive team

If we average 150pts a game we don't have to worry about defense.

2 years ago, the last full real season, Houston was 5th in net rating at 4.8

    Portland was 7th at 4.2

It will be the same God damn thing

If he was only good at offense his name would be O'Antoni.
