Put Ben with Dame and I have faith.

Dame has empowered some pretty scrubby players over the years. Imagine what he could do with a guy like Simmons.

I dunno, regardless of what Simmons's true value is (both trade and on the court), I think it's fair to say this point that it's going to take some creativity to make him useful in the playoffs. The roster is gonna have to be molded around him.

Thybulle is gonna be entering his 3rd year. You really had to call DJJ a ‘shooter’ to try and make your case lol. The reason Simmons is expendable to them is because they still have a budding defensive specialist in Thybulle that can now just take the best perimeter player. You don’t get rid of him for a ‘shooter’ like DJJ lol. They would rather give up a 1st than Thybulle.

Simmons and Thybulle (and a 1st) could likely net you Bradley Beal. But yeah, I guess dude, other teams care to make the Blazers as beefy as possible like us LOL.

I still kind of think that Philly is going to give it one more try with Ben Simmons. The trade that makes sense to me (if we're willing to take on the salary) is for Tobias Harris.

I think CJ/Jones for T. Harris and Thybulle balances both teams out. Philly can try moving Ben to PF (but PG on the break) and let CJ iso on the perimeter, which he'd be great at. We can slide Roco down to 1 and play with some more size. I see Philly being very reluctant to take on Thybulle, but that's the cost for Harris' bad contract.

Dame/Powell/Covington/Harris/Nurk - most balanced starting lineup in the league?
    Dame/Powell/(Thybulle/Little)/Covington/Nurk
    Simons/Thybulle/Little/Harris/Collins

Hopefully we can make CJ for Simmons happen. If we can get that to go I would love to pull a three way trade where we trade Nurk and Nas and picks and end up with Myles Turner.

We could have a rotation of Dame, Norm, RoCo, Simmons, Turner, DJ, Ant, MLE, and Enes with the BAE.

Yeah if we get Simmons I don't see how he fits well next to Nurk. At least Turner can shoot the 3.

He was a +4.3 in the playoffs this year. CJ was a -3.3…….so who was the more useful player?

myles turner can shoot 3-pointers, but nurk is developing 3-pointer too

mlyes turner is injury prone, not as much as nurk, but still injury prone

obiously im missing something, as nurk is the better player than turner (when healthy and used properly)

myles turner is better shot blocker than nurk, but so is whiteside (hopefully you get the point)

(Send picks to Philly as well)

I wonder how likely Orlando is to move away from Isaac given his injury history, but this rids them of his 4/yr 80 mil extension they gave him last year.

Such a high risk move for us because we'd be in luxury tax hell for the foreseeable future, but what a sick lineup we'd have.

I m pretty sure they love that contract. They gave it to him after he tore his ACL.

True, but they also traded away their best two players afterwards and leaned all in on a rebuild. Doubt they look at Isaac's 4/80 as a foundational piece to build around.

I don't know about that. I absolutely love Isaac as a player. He is one of the best defenders in the league and his offensive game is fine for a 7ft wing. I think his future is really bright and he will be an All Star if he manages to stay healthy. Big if of course as he has already missed a lot of games. If I were the rebuilding Magic i wouldn't trade him unless i get multiple and not late 1sts.

Vucevic and Gordon they had no use for and both players probably wanted out to play competitive basketball.

    perhaps you're right.

but if we get Simmons, the first thing i do is try get a versatile PF/C who can shoot at least 30% from 3 to keep spacing.

think he's in line for a near max. that dude has scary potential and nurse throttled him a bit. doubt masai lets him go-- Siakam is prolly more available.
