    Public places aren't necessarily owned by the public. They are places open to the public. A grocery store is a public place, but is not owned by taxpayers.

    You can be barred from entering for many reasons.

    I don't care much about convincing people who aren't vaccinated yet. Only mitigating the damage their ignorance can cause.

    I really don't like saying I "believe in" vaccines. I accept vaccine efficacy, evolution, global warming, relativity and the heliocentric solar system. I don't believe, I accept things for which there is substantial evidence.

    The overwhelming majority of people who are not getting the COVID vaccine have gotten most other standard vaccines. Choosing not to get an experimental treatment is not “anti vax”. There are very few people who are actually against all vaccinations and get no vaccines.

    That actually just highlights the irrational/political nature of the opposition to this particular vaccine.

    Choosing not to get the vaccine because it is 'experimental' is a grave misunderstanding of the risk tradeoffs, and also an implicit assertion that somehow your judgment on vaccine safety is better than that of the experts in the field. And it isn't - no matter how incomplete the expert understanding of the situation is, the random citizen's understanding is worse.

    Being a skeptic is great, but it involves a lot more than just saying 'I don't trust the experts'. That's just denial.

    Do you know more about the long term side effects of covid?

    Has covid passed all its clinical trials and been approved as a disease by the FDA? Or is catching covid also 'experimental'?

    It’s not going to be met. At this point, those who want it have gotten it. The people who haven’t received it aren’t twiddling their thumbs or procrastinating, they don’t want it and probably aren’t going to get it.

    I do agree with you on this. A few more I'm sure will get it but not enough. Unfortunately, I think they will have even a tougher time getting people to take the booster shots.

    It's an interesting question, but it doesn't matter in terms of what we do now in fighting the pandemic.
