There have been 2 in Portland I have felt since I have lived here. One was in 2000 or so and one was in 2005 or 2006. Weren't big ones but I felt them. Was in my apt alone in the last one when I heard clanking outside. I opened the door and it was the stairs rattling. Then the building shook some. I closed the door and laid back down on the coach. My roommates cat came up and laid on my stomach the rest of the evening. She was scared.
I just bought the first air conditioner I've ever owned....window model...was planning to put in a ductless heating system in the future but with a baby here couple days a week....couldn't wait for that project...seems to be working fine so far....two days ago the store had 20 of them stacked up for sale....today I bought the last one in the store....good timing. Cabin is holding steady at 72 degrees and it's past high noon here.
This post means nothing FAMS without a location. It's like coming on here talking about a traffic jam and not telling us where!
You seen the pics on FB, I saw you liked them, FAMS! (But thanks for the chance to brag. Big Island. All over, but mostly Hilo side, chilling at the new crib and hanging with the friends that want to come chill for free and take advantage of people with a house in Hawaii.) Weather has been amazing. 81 everyday. Even when we've gone to Kona every few days.... 85. The sun is more intense over there. But it's been good. Real good.
Hilo won my heart many decades ago...will always be one of my favorite places on the planet....you made a good choice.
i moved back to OR this month after leaving the 15 yrs ago. wtf, it was never THIS hot. glad i have AC at least.
Your graphic leaves out Sunday, which is supposed to be the hottest. "WE GET CREMATED" seems appropriate.
