Sure let's drag the victim through the mud by rehashing to the worldwide media all of the stuff that she probably tried to bury. Let's go through the gory details and not only violate any potential NDAs but also potentially remove her anonymity.

For what? To make this lady feel better about the Billups hire and try to absolve him of any wrongdoing?

All they need to say is that through their investigation all signs indicate that Billups was not involved in the rape. The dna test confirmed that

a hack from blazersedge who thinks SHE has something do with this because she is a woman who experienced assault. She's been on a crusade to trash Olshey/Billups/Dame and the idiot editors at Blazersedge gave her a platform. She has been incessantly calling for Neil/Chauncey to go through all the details of the case in the presser today.

Why she thinks it has ANYTHING to do with her is baffling to me.

100% it will be addressed.

But there are obvious legal limitations to how much they can divulge.

I want them to address it as well. But what I want to know is about the independent nature of their vetting process. Confirm that it came from outside the Org and how thorough it was, and I'll buy it. That should absolve Billups as much as possible, and also protect the victim a bit.
 
Negative coverage of Chauncey by the Portland media on his first interview is not going to achieve pissing off Neil Olshey....it's going to achieve pissing off Chauncey..his wife, kids and also Damian...Olshey won't tolerate shit stirring by any media hacks today and he shouldn't....there's a difference between hard questions and respect....if you ask hard questions it better be about basketball and not feed the "let's get Dame to a major market" machine that is twitter...this is not a media session about a 24 year old civil case....it's about a new coach....reality tv drama media sucks ....I hope if it rears it's head today somebody loses a team media access pass...not because they ask questions but because of the questions they ask that don't apply to basketball

There are a lot of females in the group, and they have strong anti-Billups sentiments due to him symbolizing the patriarchy or rape culture or what not.

I merely posted a poll on the IG asking if followers liked the hire, and it was 70% yes, 30% no. I got some DMs from people sending articles about the Billups allegations.
 
I'm sick of all this B.S. Where were all these upset people over the last 2 decades. Not one Media outlet is hammering any of Chauncey's prior stops, but all of a sudden, now that it's Portland, it's like the lights went on, and the roaches are everywhere. The trolls are out of control as well. It's bad enough Portland has gotten a black eye, now we have to get punched in the nose too. Stop MFer's. Go away. Take on all the other cities that have just as bad , or worse situations. I wish i had the money to investigate all these social media hacks. I wouldn't be shocked if many weren't from Oregon AT ALL. It's like a smear campaign . And it's relentless.
 
The team is not saying who the coach is but all indications are that it will be Chauncey Billups.

It would be funny to find out it was someone else all along.
 
I can't imagine a worse format to get substantive answers about something personal than a fucking press conference. Several media types jockeying to ask a 'gotcha' question. It would turn into a circus

I'd be much more interested in asking how Billups intends to improve the defense of Portland's starting back court. Or if he intends for Portland to run more off-ball motion on offense. Or how he figures on Portland beating the 'trap-Dame' defenses. AFAIC, there's no point in asking Olshey any questions
