Lolol that shit is so yesterday! I can’t wait until the staff is announced and there’s no woman on it. That’s the next story.

I hadn’t considered it before, but that’s my thought to in terms of trusting him to be consistent. What we don’t know is when he gets in a funk, is he upset he’s not involved enough, or upset he isn’t playing well?

I hope it’s the latter because the former is a concern for me.

So you've spoken with a few morons. Welcome to life.... Maybe people just dont enjoy watching a lesser level of sport. Do you spend a lot of time watching AAA Baseball? How about G League basketball? Big Arena football fan, are you? Hell, if women supported their own, the WNBA would be flourishing. Enough of this garbage take that it's just men wanting to sexualize women at every turn.

Assumes women play a lower version. Yet many of the same people watch college ball.

Ahh yes all those WNBA superstars who are pulling up from 35' and dropping 3s like it's nothing. These WNBA athletes hanging at the rim from their elbow or taking off from the free throw line. I'm all for the WNBA being here and can appreciate it for what it is, but dont try and tell me it's something that it's not. The NBA is the elite of the elite. The WNBA is not that product. People don't watch Euro ball over here either.

The games where college gets big ratings (i.e. Duke v UNC), for the most part, are power house teams littered with elite players headed to the NBA. Nobody's turning on to watch San Diego State vs UCSB on a Tuesday (or I'd bet about as many people who are turning on the WNBA)

Again, if it was such an elite level (nba like) product, why arent more women supporting it? They make up half the population. This should be a non issue. Is it because they're not attracted to the women? It must be something sexual or sexist....

I enjoy all levels of sports. I used to coach hs softball pitching and they are very good with fundamentals and execution, very disciplined. Love to watch hs & college fastpitch. I enjoy watching the women track & field events. And I do watch a few WNBA games every year and really enjoy womens college hoops. Girls/women soccer is fantastic!
I walk up to the park near me and watch youngsters play and it doesnt matter to me if its girls or boys or both playing.

Interesting info from a Pistons fan:

The grand jury at the time of the investigation part is new to me, or did I gloss over that detail somewhere?

Did anyone listen to the Chauncey interview with Brooke? I read somewhere he mentioned in there that Sheed would be coming to work with Nurk? Did anyone actually hear that? I can't get the interview to load so I can listen to it.

"Not over-dribbling, dribbling slows everything down."

LOL, oh Terry, if you only knew at that time.

This was great to listen to after 9 years. I think his philosophy is pretty intact. Give the guys some structure, but above all else, give your best players the freedom to do what they do best.

It's easy to see why Dame thrived under Terry. Dame needs that freedom. But I think he let CJ and Aldridge do too much of what they do best. In CJ's case that's dribbling the air out of the ball, and in Aldridge's case it was letting him shoot 20 fadeaways each night. He should have realized neither player was good enough to earn that level of freedom.

Also, clearly needs to give more structure to the non-star players, on both ends. That shit was not gonna fly in the playoffs.

Thank you. I finally got it to load, he said Sheed will definitely visit and support him, but that is all he said. I know Sheed just took a job coaching a HS basketball team in North Carolina.

To be fair, CJ mentioned that Terry hates when he over-dribbles but still lets him do it. I think part of it is that Terry's philosophy is to empower his best players. His mistake was giving that freedom to CJ. Makes sense why Dame LOVED Terry but other guys maybe not as much (*cough* Nurk).
