I wonder if Jamahl Mosley is an option if he doesn’t get a head coaching job. He coached Billups in Denver and went to the same college.

And fans of other teams want Dame so they dive into this kind of narrative with both feet because they all imagine they can get him for a borderline rotation player and draft picks as he forces his way to their team.

The smart move would be to hire Dame's Weber State trainer as assistant...Dame talks with him constantly...he's the guy who texted Dame "not good enough" after his 50 pt game in Denver

and he responded with a somewhat subpar game. So as far as motivating coaches, maybe aim higher?

I'm trying to keep Dame in Portland, not blame his ex coach or a subpar game...that coach got him drafted as a first round pick and has kept Dame's loyalty since....not sure he'd be less of a motivator than Janero Pargo..Dame calls him for advice regularly...that's showing Dame you go the extra mile...put that guy on our bench even if he just shags rebounds

They signed his no talent cousin, they've already showed they were willing to go the extra mile.

His no talent cousin didn't have much coaching experience...and the guy has been very successful in Weber state as a coach...I'd say that's not a fair comparison...I think Dame would say the same...we also let Moses Brown slip through our fingers on a 2 way contract and he'll probably start for the Celtics....Blevins was our practice crash test dummy...garbage man...he wasn't talentless, he was just not NBA calliber...neither was Louis Montero either but he rode our pine as well.....I'm not convinced Blevins wasn't Jody Allen's lover....stranger things have happened

Beckner has never been a head coach on any level.

We have a head coach already...I thought the guy Dame talked with was his head coach at Weber...don't even know his name....if it's Beckner what's his relationship to Dame's basketball career? Trainer?

yeah he’s Dames trainer. I doubt he would be an assistant anyway as he makes more money doing what he does now.

He had a breakout season...Horford really didn't last season....I think Brown can give Al a run for his money as far as rotation spots..

He had a break out season on one of the worst teams in the NBA. Boston is going to battle for HCA next year. They can't afford to have a super raw C in their starting 5.

Horford didn't have a good season on a bottom feeder though....we'll see. At any rate he'll be in the rotation and he wasn't even on an NBA roster other than a two way with us before that....a center on a shitty team is still playing against centers on good teams all season and the kid held his ground...I was impressed with his improvement
