NIL = Name, Image, Likeness I was seeing this morning that 3 UofO Duck athletes have signed with Barstool Athletics: it's a beautiful blonde tsunami. Think that's just coincidence?
I use to Uber on that campus. During Halloweekend 2019. The average girl i gave a ride to was a 9.8 . They don't call UO, the University of California at Eugene for nothing.
Agree. Nice to see real athletes getting their due, instead of stuffy, corporate, fat guy at the NCAA.
@Hoopguru ...where is that mentioned? I'm searching all over and it keeps saying he will announce tomorrow..
everything I've seen about JTT says that tOSU is still a slight favorite, but the Ducks have a real chance the Ducks are in about the same position with Texas OT Kelvin Banks. H'e a 5-star and the 14th rated player in the nation. Texas A&M is a slight favorite, but again, the Ducks are a strong contender it's possible both could pick Oregon. JTT just yesterday announced he will be committing about the same time as Banks...1-2pm today. A lot people don't think that's a coincidence could be a great day to be a Duck....or a bad one
Nike has to be really careful. They have contracts with dozens of D1 programs. They'd lose almost all of those contracts if they started heavily shilling recruits for the Ducks, especially in football or basketball I think this NIL stuff will end up like so many things are: advantages for the big boys and big markets. There are going to be many more brand opportunities in LA or Texas than there are in Eugene or Corvallis or Pullman
yeah, JTT to OSU, but Kelvin Banks to the Ducks: https://www.oregonlive.com/recruiti...omes-highest-rated-ol-in-program-history.html higher rated than Penei Sewell
I agree that Nike will not be a big player in this. My question is who will benefit? Like you said LA and Texas for sure. I doubt it will help the SEC but will it hurt them? Probably not. I wonder how much jealousy will occur amongst teammates? And will players become more selfish to help their brand?
