Just got on the river not busy yet! Just anchored and going to see we can rip a few lips. Only going to be a a couple hours before it gets to crazy.
About to head to downtown Nashville. Glad we're going early. This will be the largest single-day even in the city's history. Ove 400,000 folks. from all over the world, will be making their respective ways down there for all the festivities, followed by massive music and fireworks show later this evening. Fortunately, my wife got us a an awesome suite (on points, no less!) at the Hilton downtown. We'll be within walking distance for the rooftop party we'll be attending. If we weren't spending the night down there in the heart of things, I wouldn't want any part of this.
Have fun.....the last place on earth I'd be found is amongst 400000 people from around the world in one place these days. I'm avoiding crowds for the long forseable future.
You invited Sly? Oh shit, there won't be any left over for the rest of us. You know how Sly is, oh wait, you invited him so I guess you don't. Let the surprise be an eye opener.
Getting my covered deck all prepped up for summer cooking...broke out the new Coleman two burner, put the air fryer and the rice cooker out there and cooking more and more outdoors....my grill is broken but with the air fryer camp stove and rice cooker I can make a decent meal...wife is making pork dumplings wrapped in rice flour to drop into veggie soup...air frying some sweet potato fries and making white rice with trimmings.
It's tough because the sails are so small. For a single mast, you could probably get by with a magnifying glass and tweezers, but for 3-mast rice I'd suggest a loup and jewelers tools. barfo
