5th in games played 3rd in points 1st in rebounds 4th in blocks Hard not to put him in any ring of honor just cause he wanted to leave in free agency
to me it's not that he wanted to leave but how he left and I don't think he was transparent about it with Paul or Neil or Dame...he didn't even take a meeting with Dame when Dame flew to LA to talk to him....I just think Lamarcus has a hard time with pressure and decisions.....once in San Antonio...Duncan retired a year early rather than stick around to play with LA.....just didn't end well for him although I know people who love LA are going to be nostalgic
He ditched us. Therefore, why should we honor him? Who cares if he let it be known he was leaving. The point is he chose to leave, therefore, isn't a Blazer great. He's actually a net negative for the team.
Dame called for LA's jersey to be retired....that's the vote that counts..it'll probably get retired and definitely if he joins the coaching staff. No big deal to me in the end..I'm not pissed at the guy anymore and they will do what they want...
I'm not going to argue with you about it but he said he wanted to retire here months before Wes went down...he changed his tune quickly and didn't give the team an opportunity to gain assets by moving him....we disagree about this and how it went down. I heard him talk about it that season, then he got dangling thumb issues and distanced himself from the organization in quick fashion and set up meets with the Suns, Lakers and Spurs....also he blew Dame off which I found to be really strange...later he admitted jealousy....he fucked his legend up here and in San Antonio from my view....Paul Allen was no fool but he trusted Lamarcus to stay on his word..
Yor’re upset with Roy for trying to continue his career because a billionaire had a tax write-off? It couldn’t have been easy for him to be forced into retirement at age 26. Chris Paul and Lebron James are just a little bit younger than Brandon and Carmelo Anthony is older.
