personally I would prefer Jalen Green or Mobley. What are we giving up for the #3 pick?!

I am awestruck at the CJ disrespect. This is the one time when I am glad we have Olshey because he would never consider this.

(Your view becomes perhaps slightly less dumbfounding on the following assumptions:
    1. Powell will not re-sign if we keep CJ.
    2. Powell WILL re-sign if we DON'T.
But they remain assumptions. And you know what happens when you assume.)

Love has already said that he wants to play for Portland and come home. He is close with CJ and hangs out with him. If it was a buyout I don't think it is far fetched to say we would be a serious contender for his services.

This whole time I thought we were actually trying to improve our defense?

Can we at least try to play defense this year and see what happens?

Would he be this year’s version of Melo? Would we have to have both on the team at the same time? Love seems very washed up to me.

If we are talking Vet minimum and he is not expecting big minutes, then why not have him on our bench? He still shoots over 80% from the line and averaged
7.4 boards a game in 25 minutes last season.

A- I get tired of hearing him wanting to come “home”. He is NOT from Portland!
B- I think he would be a great fit with our squad, and have for years.

nah bro...he calls Oregon home because he grew up here just like my son...my son was born in Hawaii and lived in Taiwan until 3rd grade when we moved back to Portland....he grew up here, graduated high school and college in Oregon...married an Oregonian girl from Bend and bought a house in Eugene....he has earned the right to call Oregon home....he lived the first two months of his life where he was born in Hilo Hawaii but he doesn't think of that as home...choices....Klay Thompson and Kevin Love grew up in Lake Oswego together and K Love hold the scoring record for Oregon high school hoops...that's local bro...just because he went to college in California doesn't change that for him or your son either...

My biggest issue with Love is in the last 5 years he has never played more then 60 games and 2 of the seasons played 25 or fewer games. He is not someone you can rely on if you are wanting to win a championship. He would be a great 10th-15th man who you use as a luxury but you can't count on him being healthy.

Seems to me Love clamped down on D against the Warriors and won a championship.

Which of the last 5 seasons was that? I remember Michael Jordon was clutch in the Playoffs, but doesn't mean he would be anymore. Love hasn't played more then 60 games since that season by the way.

Much like Blake Griffin, I'm guessing Love would be better in a competitive situation again.

No sir, he is from Lake Oswego. Trust me, that is NOT Portland. Good or bad, he can't claim to be from Portland. Ime Udoka, Stoudamire, Terrell Brandon...... they all can, but he can't.
