Sure, get him and surround him with shooters. I’m saying this guy is a jump shot away from MVP level. As is he’s an incredible transition scorer and defender. Every rebound you give Simmons the ball and let him run. This man is a MONSTER on the break.

Then, if the defense gets set you have Simmons give it to Lillard and run the pick and roll. He would be a godsend to this team addressing our two biggest weaknesses, transition offense and perimeter defense.

What if instead of Siakam being our target in a three way deal with the Knicks, our target is Jerami Grant. So we trade CJ to the Knicks and they give Detroit the most picks and young players they can squeeze out of them and the Pistons send us Grant. Both Quickley and Toppin seem like they would be good complements to Cade or maybe both of the first rounders and Quickley makes the most sense for Detroit. Anyway, I think there's a deal there to be made if Grant is a big enough splash for CJ... which I think he is more than enough.

Dame, Norm, Grant, RoCo, Nurk, Ant, Nas, DJ (I am pretty sure since we didn't use the BAE last off season we'll be able to now and I'm pretty sure that with the 11M that we save in the CJ for Grant trade and renouncing Zach we'll be able to use the full MLE).

Does anyone know what Norm's cap hold becomes once he opts out?

I’m into this trade idea. Not sure the Knicks and Pistons go for it. Grant for CJ is a great deal for us.
