Well, potentially this means Damian won't have to play as many games, so he'd be able to get more rest!

They legit targeted Dame on defense. Hope this is an eye opener for him. He approached tonight like an all star game. And was rightfully embarassed

Worse than an all star game. He at least takes shots in an all star game. He deferred all night.

Yeah there are two reasons why we need to trade CJ in order to be a decent defensive team.

This was not the U.S.A's best team. Dame most likely would not be on it lol.

Also, Dame approaches every game like an all-star game with the logo threes and whatnot, which is why he has one of the worst playoff win percentages in the NBA. He was not bad perse, but he is inconsistent. I do think Dame goes off next game.

He is a HUGE defensive liability though. Like Curry, you gotta hide em. CP3 is probably the only PG who goes in on defense. Kyrie can hold his own, but not steller, but he does enough.

Dame got beat couple of times but overall it wasn't as terrible as some of guys talking about. I know a few times where Tatum and Durant gave no effort in closing in the 1st half. USA didn't take game seriously and that what happens you loose. Plus they got kill on the boards is they better correct or they will come home out the gold. Bottom line wakeup call for this team.

He made so many mistakes on switches on dribble handoffs in the fourth. They got wide open 3s everytime

    I noticed this as well.

Apparently his underwhelming defense isn't just scheme related like some wanted us to believe.

none of us would be watching the US team play an exhibition game vs Nigeria if it weren't for dame. just cuz we called out his shit play doesn't mean we want to drive him out of town. what kinda BS logic is that?

Yeah, Dame is possibly the most potent offensive weapon in basketball but his defense is poor and CJ's is maybe worse. Those two guys have got to be separated.

You know what might have been worse than his defense tonight was the fact that he was the best point guard they had and he seemed to refuse to control the action on offense. I'm not talking about Stottsian iso shit, just setting stuff up, he also should have pulled up a couple times to help with spacing... he didn't use his strengths on offense and if he doesn't then he's just a defensive liability.

i was waiting for him to grab the game by its horns and refuse to lose, but he kept deferring. pissed me off more than it should.

i think he's still in the mindset of trying let everyone eat, while forgetting he's the 2nd best player on the squad.

At the end of the game he's arguably the best.
