the people who fall for it, seem to be the people who look for any rationale to justify their disliking of trans/lgbtq. They can both "support" them, but at the same time, repeat the bullshit lies about them all the while just 'reporting the news' or some horse shit.

Not at all surprised that people fell for this. People are fucking idiots.

Thank you for providing the link, which ended up supporting my gut feeling that the entire thing was just an absolute crap load of lies meant to harm a segment of our society because certain people are insecure about their own sexuality and have to take it out on other people.

A Tennessee judge blocked a new state law that would have required businesses that allow transgender people to use restrooms to post state mandated warnings on doors.

Never understood how bathroom laws are enforced. DNA test everyone entering?

It's...amusing? to me that there seems a pretty good crossover of people who say there's no point in laws against guns because if a bad guy wants one, he'll get one, but then advocate laws about who goes in a bathroom, as if that's going to stop someone who wants to go in from going in and doing something bad.

as if that's the biggest area where bad things happen. you know, since most molestation/kidnappings aren't done in the bathrooms across businesses in America. But it makes for a good headline that idiots will forward to their friends.

To me, if space allows, there should be a general men's and women's, and a lockable family or trans.

How can you tell? DNA test?

I am pretty old and been using women's restroom my entire life (except a few times when line was so long women took over men's) and never, not once, had any trans woman bothered me. In fact most of the time I wouldn't even know if they were trans or cis since women use stalls. I am not in the habit of peeking under door to check out genitals of person in neighboring stall.

I'll bet you take no interest in a good looking woman going in there to take a dump.
Not meant about you but others need to be reminded that people use restrooms because they have to and not because they're interested in seeing another person's body.

If you're so concerned just make individual stalls (small fully enclosed rooms with locking doors) so anybody can have as much privacy as they want without dedicated gender based rooms. Just lock the door behind you and the room is yours.

Places like this are far better than large open rooms with flimsy partitions anyway, with far more privacy.

Except yours excludes people from using rooms where my suggestion makes rooms open to all.

    That's a significant difference.

    1. "I'm working with the Trans Thing..."? Way to make everything about you. We honestly don't give a shit about your struggles to enter the 21st century
    2. This sounds bogus. And the fact that it's on "Real Clear Politics" isn't doing its credibility any good.
    3. Supposing it really happened: this has nothing to do with being transgender and everything to do with being an exhibitionist.
    4. I seriously doubt any little girls who witness a penis are "traumatized". More likely they thought it was hilarious. If they were, I sure hope their parents keep them away from Greek statuary.

There. Now your mind is set at ease.

People become easy marks, disseminating information out to the masses to propagate a narrative. In this case, someone saw a headline of a grody trans exposing himself to a helpless girl, and instantly went on the offensive. Which if true, no one would defend.

But for people who have the ability to use reason, it was pretty easy to see that something smelled weird about it.

But instead of looking into it and using their deductive brain power, they instantly figured this was a "a-ha! totally proves my point about them queer-boys being sexual deviants" moment, without having to overtly say as much.

And it gives someone the chance to say condescending and dismissive comments, which they think shows they're getting the upper hand in conversations like this (without realizing that everyone else sees it for what it is, words typed by someone who is participating in a discussion that is way out of their league), and then disappearing for a while taking advantage of most peoples short attention spans.

I really wish this was the first time this kind of behavior was exhibited on this board, but it's not.
