I'd trade CJ for Turner and Warren. Warren had two really good years before getting injured and he is only 27.

    What are you hearing?

Which teams have a strong interest in CJ? Do you think Neil will actually give him up?

With Kawhi Leonard likely out for all of next season following his ACL surgery, and with him only having one more year on his contract, you have to wonder if the Clips might be looking at a rebuild. Snaring George would be great. CJ isn’t going to be of interest to them in that scenario, but maybe as a piece in a 3-way? One can dream.

ya i doubt rick carlisle would want his best player traded away

so... is it Indy who's interested or Cleveland? not sure what you mean by getting ahead.

That could definitely be perceived as a truly "win now" move for the Knicks. I'd absolutely be on board if we could flip those pieces to Detroit for Grant.

Not sure about how 'strong' the interest is but the following have expressed at least some to strong interest from someone I trust.

    Knick
    Cavs
    Pacers
    Magic

Not sure why the Magic would be interested in CJ. Doesn't fit their timeline at all.

    But I'll take Isaac.

Doesn't seem to fit for Cleveland either.

The Lakers would probably love CJ. I'm not sure what they could offer in trade other than an unlikely S&T with Schroeder plus Kuzma.

There's no way Dame is happy with a CJ trade that doesn't net a similar caliber player.

CJ is a classic buy low candidate. Teams can try and consolidate 4 quarters to trade for a dollar (CJ being the metaphorical dollar here). But yeah, unless we are also blowing it up and trading Dame I can't imagine us actually being interested. I've tried to trade CJ in so many scenarios but we're heavily constrained by who we can take back, and also his age doesn't fit many team's timelines.

Philly or NY make the most sense in terms of fit. So either we make the trade for Simmons, or we flip him to someone with assets that we can in turn flip for something of equal talent as CJ.

Everyone keeps saying Simmons but I just don’t think it’s on the table unless Portland severely overpays with picks. I’ll eat crow if it happens though.

I'm just saying either you're targeting an equal talent like Simmons, or you're trying to get assets for CJ that you flip for an equal talent.

My point is I’ve looked for those guys. They aren’t available or it makes no sense for the other team. Trading CJ for assets with the intent on flipping those later is not gonna sit well with Dame. I’ve tried trades for almost every team and they just don’t make sense . My conclusion is that most likely, CJ is back next year…

No it can't be a trade for assets that you flip later. It has to be immediate.
