Cabo? Oh sorry, I thought you were staying in Playa. We stayed at a Riu Palace in Playa and it was really really nice. The night shows are a little lame but still everything was great.
We got free companion passes until February with SW airlines until the end of February. It was a promo when you get their credit card. That means when 1 flies, the other flies free. Then they had their 50th-anniversary sale a few weeks ago. So we got 2 tickets for the price of half for one person. So we grabbed tickets to Vegas in Aug, Mexico in Oct. and Vegas again for Halloween. The hotels in Vegas are free. So they're pretty cheap vacations. Riu will match the published rate on those discount travel sites but when you book direct you get a better room. Shit was really cheap to travel in May to Mexico. We got the Riu Palace in Playa for $129/night. The nights in Cozumel and Valladolid were free with CC points from Chase Sapphire. The flight was free with the 80,000 CC points from the SW Card. And it was that flight that triggered the companion pass thing, lol.
BTW, the SouthWest Airlines CC is administered by Chase and you can transfer points between it and Chase's Sapphire card.
Nice! I was just messing with ya. I need to look into the air point credit cards. My parents and brother use those and rack up the points quick
We have the SW companion pass and absolutely love it! We used to have AmEx Hilton honors, but this is a WAY better deal! For all of our purchases, we put absolutely everything on the card (food, insurance, health premiums, everything...) and, of course, pay the card off in full every month. We're traveling to Seattle later this month, NYC in December, and even Hawaii next Spring - all on companion pass, while also using our points. It's a great gid.
That was a lot of fun, I walked on the glass floor on the needle and didn't freak out that bad, and even got to see the huge 200k fire burning near HW 140 on the way back here! Or the smoke at least.
I'll pm you a pic, i doubt she wants her face all over here for all the creepy old men to see, jk lol.
The glass floor must be new. I don't recall it during my visit to the Seattle World's Fair in 1962 and I don't recall it when I was last there in about 1987.
https://www.geekwire.com/2018/space-needle-unveils-worlds-revolving-glass-floor-500-feet-air/ It looks like it was a fairly recent renovation so i'm lucky i went when i did to walk around on it.
