The victim Ijeoma Ukenta, captured the shocking moment on her cellphone when the woman, who has now been identified as Abigail Elphick, charged at her seemingly trying to smack the phone out of her hand. Once Ukenta mentioned that she had recorded the entire altercation, Elphick proceeded to have a full-on meltdown in the middle of the store, realizing that her rude and violent behavior had been caught on camera. The trending video is a segment of a six-part YouTube video recording of the incident. Ukenta told authorities that as she was shopping around the store, Abigail rudely jumped in front of her and even pushed her out the way. That’s when Elphick can be seen trying to smack the phone out of Ukenta’s hand. In the clip, you can hear Ukenta saying in disbelief: “I never thought nothing like this would ever happen to me. She just tried to run and hit me.” Elphick replies: “I didn’t try to hit you,” before she begins crying uncontrollably. Later in the 7-minute video, you can hear Elphick sob, “Don’t record my mental breakdown.” Ijeoma Ukenta who identifies as a Black Muslimah Nigerian has now set up a GoFundMe page seeking legal defense against the scorned Karen. Ukenta wrote in her fundraiser bio: “….I was treated like it was 1920 in Short Hills Mall. I was assaulted and harassed by a white woman and nothing was done by security nor the police. I am looking to hire me an excellent attorney who can help me bring light to this wrong. All videos and updates on the situation are on my YouTube channel: Mama Africa Muslimah. “ Ukenta added that she was “kicked off TikTok” because of the viral video, however, the platform let someone else post clips of the harrowing incident. “…They let someone else post and get millions and millions of views, however, they deleted 2 of my accounts. One that I have for my Garden which was my original account and another one that I created after I deleted my account.” As of Wednesday morning, Ukenta’s GoFundMe has surpassed its original goal of $20,000 and has now received over $74,000 in donations. Victoria’s Secret issued a response on Tuesday (July 13) following the uproar surrounding the “Karen’s” egregious behavior. There are videos if you click the link. Every of Karen case has pretty much been closed and shut for me. You usually get a video and see them being racist or refusing to wear a mask or what not. This one I am not sure about. There are two videos. The "Karen" tries to knock the other lady who is black phone away after she realizes the lady is filming her. But there are no racist things said as far as I heard. Just a lady having a mental break down and not wanting to be filmed. The black lady says she is continuing to film because the Karen had moved towards her like she was going to hit her phone or attack her. (I don't get the sense the Karen really wants to attack anyone). She just wants the lady to stop recording. I get though as a person of color you film because you fear the white person will be believed over you. She already filmed the lady coming at her to knock her phone away. She could have left and got security. It feels like she wanted more drama. She even laughs at the mentally ill lady several times which is sad. Before the videos the video taker said the Karen cut in front of her and pushed her and that's why she started recording, but we don't get to see any of that. The video taker started a go fund me for a lawyer to sue the Karen and the store and raised over $70,000. Is this just a cash grab? It feels like there is more too this. Maybe there isn't. Maybe the Karen did act terribly to the video taker and push and her stuff and then go off after realizing she was being filmed. I just feel like we aren't seeing the whole story.

She didn't actually attack the lady. Never touched her thus the police couldn't arrest her or remove her
Menacing? What does it mean to be charged with menacing? Menacing can refer to a few different crimes, all of which share the following characteristics: the defendant has placed the victim in fear of imminent (immediate) bodily harm or unwanted physical contact, or has attempted or threatened to hurt the victim. Usually, no injury or physical contact is required.
She never touched her and the lady wasn't afraid of her. She was laughing at her in the videos. She was afraid of the police taking the Karen's side.
Personally I think it's fucked up to post this shit to social media. She's needs help, not public humiliation. People suck.
I prefer to say some people suck or even many people suck but not everyone sucks. I had a mentally ill brother so I know how people can be mean or just uncaring of the mentally ill. The next time some of you witness someone acting really odd, ask yourself "could this person be mentally ill?" But don't be too hard on yourself because I too acted without thinking in such situations before my brother became ill in his early 20s. We can always change. All it takes is curiosity and/or, in my case, getting hit over the head with a sledge hammer.

Everyone is well aware of that Karen. She was the first Karen so to speak. We talked about her in another thread back when that happened. There have been several other real Karen's too. Like the one at the convenient store who was calling the native American woman a Mexican and saying she was here illegally and needed to go back to her own country. There are Karen's everywhere.
