I'm going to go out on a limb, but I think we should trade for Giannis.

 

I get that you want to keep Nurk and that makes sense to me but I want us to trade CJ and whatever draft considerations it takes for Simmons and I don't believe Nurk and Simmons would be functional together... so that's where those proposals you don't like are coming from.

That being said if you disagree maybe state why instead of telling someone to shut the fuck up... it's just not the most shining example of clever retorts.

 

Make a play for Towns.



And then turn around and move Nurk, Simons, and (hopefully) DJJ for Grant.

Simmons has Giannis like freakish athletic abilities but has yet to put it together at least offensively. If a package of CJ could somehow land us Simmons it would be crazy. But I don’t think it happens because CJ and anything we can package isn’t as good as what other teams can offer.

 

You might be right about Simmons and Nurkic not being functional together. But to be fair, trading Nurk for Kuzma is garbo. Like not even a little garbo. I’d much rather try to use Nurk to get Boucher or a guy who can shoot 3’s but can also play C’s so Simmons doesn’t really have to guard C’s. Kuzma wouldn’t be starting here and I think Nas will end up being better than Kuzma.

Wanting Simmons is fine. But I’d rather only have one guy from the All-Kendall team, not multiple lol.

I just don't see why the Wolve's would trade KAT. Especially for draft picks, and decent players. CJ is the best player of that group, and the trade has him going to the Knicks. Those draft picks will most likely be in the latter half of the draft. Not good. If you're the GM of the Wolve's, or a diehard fan, does that compensation intrigue you?

 

Grant had a nice year in Detroit, and next to Jokic, he was a valuable role player. But Nurk has potential, especially with Billups, to reach new heights. I like Grant, but he 's not a better talent than Nurk.

 

It's annoying, because both Philly and the Blazers want Simmons in Portland, but:
The Blazers want to send CJ and won't send Dame, but
Philly want Dame and won't take CJ.
So it won't happen.

 

Damn straight. I REALLY hate that.

 

If a trade happens, Woj or Shams can troll really hard. Usually the first tweet is something like “Portland is close to a deal to acquire Ben Simmons”. Fans can freak out for a few minutes wondering if it’s Dame or CJ coming back.

 

Okay, here's an actual possibility: a bunch of picks would have to be going to Toronto as well. It can be tinkered with, but the basic idea is that Toronto might do CJ if they can be guaranteed to be getting Lowry as well.

 

That looks bad for Philly. Picks would need to go to Philly and I still think it’s rough for Philly.
