SPN's Ric Bucher said that he's "heard a rumor that a Artest deal was in the making" to send the talented two-way swingman back home to New York to play for the Knicks. Bucher reports the following principal trade terms: a first-round pick, <u>Nate Robinson</u> and either <u>David Lee</u> or <u>Renaldo Balkman</u>. The Knick could include <u>Malik Rose</u> to make the deal work under the salary cap but the Kings want expiring contracts. "Hence the problem" completing the deal, says Bucher. The Knicks have <u>Dan Dickau</u>'s and <u>Fred Jones</u>' expiring contracts to include but this could not happen until August 28. "Artest would love to be in New York, Sacramento would love to move him and the Knicks would love to have him. When you have three parties who want something, I have to believe -- much like the Minny/Boston/KG situation -- it's going to get done," said Bucher.</p> </p> http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=16742</p>

Lets not get too crazy it is Bucher we're talking about here. Although if that were to ever happen, that would be the most intriguing team in the whole NBA. Not because of their skill but when exactly one of them will kill one another. Quentin Richardson would be the only player there with any sense.
I really, really, really, really hope this happens, and for David Lee. Oh man, come on Isiah.</p> Seriously. Curry, Randolph, Artest, Marbury, all on the same team? Holy cow. Hoooooly cow. Come on Isiah. </p>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Dre)</div><div class='quotemain'>Stop hatin', they'll be better than the Nets pretty easily.</div></p> on paper maybe. But they're made up of nut jobs with big egos...getting them all to mesh isn't going to be easy.</p>
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Dre)</div><div class='quotemain'>Stop hatin', they'll be better than the Nets pretty easily.</div> Dre is the defender of the overrated, except for Steve Nash
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Dre)</div><div class='quotemain'>Stop hatin', they'll be better than the Nets pretty easily.</div></p> No team with Marbury as their starting PG has ever been better than a team with Kidd as the starting PG. This is going back to 1996 here too.</p>

The Knicks would have a good 'name' starting 5, but a Nets starting 5 that includes Krstic / Magloire has no major weakness.</p> </p> Save injuries.</p>
If Artest gets traded to the Knicks, Marbury will bet averaging "12 dimes and 14 assists" instead of "10 times and 12 assists."
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ToddMacCulloch11)</div><div class='quotemain'> My only question is who ends up throwing the first punch, randolph or artest? </p> </div></p> My bet is that Artest takes a swing at Balkman, and the whole thing devolves into a riot from there.</p>
ya...i just don't see how artest to the knicks would actually make them even better. </p> i thought he was a player of high calibur, and the difference in sacramento, but after seeing last season's debacle, i'm really doubting artest's talents and effects on the team. </p>
Guess if these rumors are true that it shows how Isaiah feels about Morris and Chandler if he's willing to even listen to offers for David Lee. Granted ya gotta give a little to get a little but David Lee was one if if not arguably their best player last season. Add Randolph to that mix and I guess there aren't many minutes to go around. Not that Sacramento has any shortage of forwards either.
