I'm mulling the fact that Beal takes even more shots than CJ and still plays no defense; so if we got him back for CJ it would be even more likely that Norm would walk and again we would be left with a worse team than the one that lost to the hobbled Nuggets... which I can't see Dame being cool with.

Beal is basically CJ if CJ was the number one option on a team.

If we're truly in win-now mode, I'd rather have PG.

So Utah wants cap savings and a 1st for Ingles or Bogdanovic.

POR Gets: Tobias Harris, Joe Ingles
PHI Gets: C.J. McCollum, Derrick Jones Jr.
UTA Gets: 2022 POR 1st (Lottery Protected)

Or if Philadelphia is willing to give up the 28th pick and Tobias for C.J. and D.J.J...

POR Gets: Tobias Harris, Joe Ingles
PHI Gets: C.J. McCollum, Derrick Jones Jr.
    UTA Gets: 28th Pick

    Lillard / Simons
    Powell / Ingles
    Harris / Little
    RoCo / Harris
    Nurkic / Backup C

I'd be disappointed in getting Tobias for CJ. The value is somewhat fair but it's about the lowest of potential deals. Would make us better, but not good enough.

You're right that Harris would make us better, having Joe Ingles as our sixth man would make us a lot better.

I'd rather have higher top tier talent than solid talent dispersed throughout the roster. We need bigger than Tobias and Joel Ingles.

Yeah, he's not even on my list. I think the Knicks would gladly give up their first rounders this year and Quickley or Toppin for CJ and I think that and possibly future firsts from us would be enough for either the Raptors or maybe the Pistons to give up Siakam or Grant both of whom I think are better than Harris. I don't know if they meet your expectation of top tier but that's about what I think we can get.

Obviously if the rumor of the Cavs giving up #3 with Love is true then you have to consider that and if you don't want a guy as young as Mobley then I bet he'd be enough for Detroit to take on Love's contract and probably send us both Grant and Plumlee which would give us a well rounded and deep team.

I'm not so sure. Harris would be great at PF, next to Nurk. RoCo at SF, that's a pretty nice frontcourt. Then if you could add Ingles. Dudes a serious annoyance , but i'd love him on our roster. Add a Josh Hart type, BINGO!

You know what's interesting? I was actually wondering if it was Toronto. They still have some really good pieces, and with parity in the NBA, they have as good a shot as anyone.

But Suggs doesn't do us any good. I think if it was top 3, you would have to do it. Mobley is much more interesting than Suggs.

Suggs for CJ is a no brainer. But doesn’t matter, no way they actually offered that.

So do you think Quick's sources are wrong?

highly doubt toronto would want to run it back. they were close to getting rid of lowry at the deadline. and selling powell for trent was another sign of their impending blowup.

they're not suddenly going to change course now.

Trading the pick for McCollum and Covington would not be running it back. That team is significantly different than the one last year.

But again, I'm not buying that they made that offer.

If they offered #4 and we got our hands on 7/14/Wiseman/Wiggy for Dame we would have to do that if they were offered and Dame was uncertain about his future here imo.

    Suggs(14)
    Powell/Simons
    Wiggins/Nas
    Kuminga
    Nurk/Wiseman

I’m assuming we are sending out Dame/CJ/RoCo. Again I want to win with Dame but with that base 9 man roster it would give the rookies 2 years before Wiggins came off the books and we would have a lot of cap space to go along with a bunch of young studs. I know this would never happen but things could go a lot worse.
